Popular Post vikingTON
Very poor game of football. Can't give much credit for skilful play, but the team absolutely do deserve credit for: • endeavour - everyone did their shift, with Davies and Reynolds now knowing the basics of how to track and run and do the defensive work in this league • concentration - solid tracking of opposition runs, not switching off or daft mistakes • professionalism - a notable, conscious effort to completely kill the game in the corner and doing the basic defending needed from 2-0, as a response to the QP and Partick games Final bit of credit has to go to the manager/coaching staff: they have described how after the Falkirk game a back to basics approach was adopted. We haven't looked back since and that pragmatic response is a strength in a field stuffed with 'philosophy of football' clowns. . 7 The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Really cringeworthy and needs nipped in the bud. Dumbarton just today banned under 16s entering games unless accompanied by an adult and there's a growing case to do the same at Cappielow. 1 Peter Weatherson is the greatest player since Ritchie, and should be assigned 'chairman for life'
dunning1874
The ref's steadfast refusal to give McGinty a second booking for his repeated and eventually successful attempts to kick Adeloye off the park ultimately worked in our favour there with his contribution to the second goal. What a terrific goal from the point we won possession though, tremendous from Lyall and even better from Reynolds. That was a poor first half for the most part but we were clinical when we got a set-piece chance and were the better team from the point we took the lead. Even when things got a bit frantic for a long period and we weren't getting a foot on the ball for a while in the second with it looking like panic was setting in, we never actually gave up a clear cut chance. Things are inevitably going to look a bit less structured and frankly not as good in midfield when Wilson isn't there, but that we're still getting results without him - and for a critical part of the game tonight without either Stuparevic or Adeloye - bodes well. Great result and it would take some seriously shite form from now to the end of the season to end up 9th. 1 Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake Oh Lord, Brian Wake
RossMcC1874
Good professional performance and a solid three points, wasn't pretty but we got the job done. Reynolds, Davies, Shaw, Lyall have all improved so much recently and it's great to see. Tomi is a handful and once he gets fully fit will score a good few goals.
DumfriesTon
Baird and Lyall were outstanding. Professional performance and Hamilton didn’t really have a sniff, albeit I thought we lacked quality. I can’t see us keeping up this form to properly challenge 4th and the inevitable new manager bounce Partick will get but we’ve put ourselves in a very strong position to stay in the league another year. Looks like Stuparevic’s season could be over which is a shame. Hopefully Adeloye can keep fit as Davies is nothing more than a harrier.
RealTonKid
I’m guessing we won’t see Stuparevic again this season. Also, I don’t know what the deal is with these “hooligan” clowns, but they need to divert their teenage angst elsewhere. Pathetic.

I wasn't at the game so I'm genuinely asking as you called them out along with other's after Partick away. Let's not pretend our fans are angels but I find it hard to belive they are the one's instigating it at every game other so called fans from other teams are just as bad as ours. From what I seen while leaving the ground and waiting for the bus, yes they did. There was a group of around 15/20 hanging around between the Sinclair street exit and the bus stop round the corner (trying to work out what exit Hamilton fans were taking by sound of it). A couple wearing balaclavas too. There was one very vocal Hamilton fan who kept telling the youngsters where to go and to get his fellow Hamilton fans back on the bus. Nothing really escalated from it though. Police turned up in a matter of minutes. A little scuffle between a couple of the boys and then more police turned up and that was the event over. Young Morton fans left walking away while singing “here we go again, Morton hooligan.” Which is just a riddy on a different level. Looks like they were big enough to go toe to toe with a a handful of Hamilton fans. I wonder if it will be the same on Friday when 1000+ Falkirk fans with an established Ultra/Casual/Group in town?
Popular Post Alibi
This hooligan nonsense is embarrassing but it’s not unique to Morton. They’ll maybe grow out of it when they discover onanism.. As in “Brian Graham, you’re an onanist, you’re an onanist”. We do miss Wilson but it’s good to see Lyall, Reynolds and Davies contributing after a slow start. We do seem to have a lot of misplaced passes but hard to play like Barca when you’re getting clogged every few seconds. BTW couldn’t hear McGinty getting booed every time he touched the ball. Not good enough! 3 "Any nation given the opportunity to regain its national sovereignty and which then rejects it is so far beneath contempt that it is hard to put words to it." The same wee boys who ran away from a fence at Somerset when the Ayr fans charged at it. Anyway, as others have said it wasn't pretty last night but we got the job done. Jack Baird was my MotM - cleared everything he got near and Mullen had an easy game as a result. Reynolds looked good and I though Ally Crawford put in a good shift when he came on in terms of tackling and breaking up their play. 2 McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up. Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control... That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie. Ferguson
Not the most entertaining performance but a very pleasing one, Hamilton tried to make the game stuffy and physical and we just did it better. Baird and Lyall outstanding, Davies was effective, and Reynolds once again proving he can be a threat. The work rate of our full backs is immense, got the better of Hamilton’s wide players going forward and never gave them a sniff at our goal. Fingers, arms and legs crossed that Adeloye makes Fridays game and Stuparevic hasn’t picked up anything serious.

On some occasions a break is better than ligament damage, depending on how serious the damage is. TRVMP
What is the tune to that song? I was trying to fit it to "Here I Go Again On My Own" by Whitesnake but 1) it doesn't scan and 2) nobody under 40 would know that song anyway

I fully approve of using the dodgybox to watch other clubs streams or stuff on the multitude of overpriced subscription based sports channels, but it’s a bit naughty doing it for our home games 1
