He’s apparently off to Falkirk.

Match Preview/Thread - Arbroath vs Morton (20th April)

Championship football confirmed for next season. Time to thank a few of these players for their efforts and wish them well, but if we want to do better going forward we’ll need to improve the squad. -

Ferguson should just simply try harder at winning games of football than worrying about other teams. -

I wouldn’t be surprised if he wants out in the summer. Completely wasting his time here. I’d hoped we’d turned a corner with him getting a start and MOTM vs Queen’s Park but he appears to be the fall guy for Airdrie despite everyone being shite. -

He can’t judge the flight of a ball, shanks crosses out the pitch, gives the ball away when trying to pass it more often than not, and makes a habit of losing his man for crosses (see Airdrie’s 3rd on Saturday). The one thing he is good at is getting back in front of a wide player using his pace if they’re on the counter attack. He’ll pick up a decent wage non-league down in England, but I’d be disappointed if we didn’t look to improve on him for next season. If he was as good as Dundee fans said he was, the injury has clearly done him as a player. -

Of the players out of contract I’d like us to retain: Oakley, Crawford, Muirhead, O’Connor, Strapp (unlikely), and Garrity who I think has a real bit of potential. Time to thank the others for their efforts and wish them well. I think we’ve actually got a likeable group of players whose effort can’t be faulted, but if we are striving to be better and aim higher then the club and Imrie need to be ruthless this summer. -

It won’t be, but that should be the last time we see Broadfoot. An appalling performance allowing McGill and Todorov to get the better of him for 90 mins. O’Connor must replace him on Tuesday. I thought Power got a hard time of it at the start of the season, and he was great during our 16 game unbeaten run but today he was miles off it. Unsure how many but that must be 3 or 4 goals he’s cost us in recent weeks due to arsing about with the ball rather than just shelling it, or passing to a player near him. Gillespie should start on Tuesday but I’m not sure how much of an improvement that’ll be. Tyler French is another who has put in pathetic performances for weeks on end, even a weak link during our impressive run. Maybe Dundee sent the wrong player over as he’s not lived up to the expectations set by their support. He’s practically undroppable due to us having no alternative at RB other than Blues. Garrity made a huge difference when he came on and must start on Tuesday too. Promotion play-offs look too far away now, but 3/4 points from the next 2 games should consolidate our place in the Championship for next season. -

Match Preview/Thread - Morton vs Queens Park (30th March)

Noticed Muirhead’s celebration was a dig at the crowd yesterday… that along with Imrie’s comments would suggest he’s immune to criticism. One free-kick chucked in by Cal Ferrie doesn’t make up for the last 2 months performances from him. -
Match Preview - Morton vs Dunfermline - 23rd March

Bearne got a great assist in his last start for us, away at Arbroath in December. Since then he’s had 98 minutes worth of football in 8 games from the bench, only getting more than 15 minutes twice. It’s not enough time for a player to make an impact. He definitely looked a threat away at Partick last week, but expecting an immediate impact from a player who is hardly getting a look in is a bit unfair in my eyes. If the team were firing on all cylinders then fair enough, but there’s too many players not contributing enough for others not to get a chance. -

He needs to give it a rest. He’s got a boy on the bench that he handed a 2 year deal to, yet never gives him a fair chance. Granted Boyd wasn’t great, but he did the same with him too with the 2 year deal. The budget has been there but he’s wasted it on those players. -

Imrie basically calling out McGrattan in his post match interview, which is poor when Broadfoot, Crawford, French, golden boy Blues and Muirhead were all miles off it. -

Yeah, really don’t understand McGrattan starting. He’s been woeful any time he’s had a chance recently. -

Thought it looked like Gillespie was playing on the right of a midfield 3 but more advanced than Blues & Power. Crawford can come into that role given we shouldn’t be so defensive today and allow Garrity to play further forward. -

Sounds like we’re without Jai again today. I’d like to see Garrity come in for Gillespie but keep the same formation as Monday night. -
Did anyone on here go to the night with Oakley & Imrie? If so how was it?
-
-
Could be wrong but looked like Jai was missing from the training session on Saturday. Fingers crossed Oakley makes an appearance.
-
Where were the team training today in the video posted on Twitter/Facebook?
-
I have a sneaky feeling Oakley will make this (maybe it’s just desperation). Good to see decent ticket sales and no doubt there will be a few more Sinclair St tickets punted before kick-off.

Yep, I find their “Well Bois” a bit of a riddy at times but that pyro display was absolutely class.
