I remember his first six months we had him in the middle, where he was poor. Within weeks of moving out wide he was dominant at that level. I've not seen him in the last couple of years except for highlights but if he's at the same level he was previously he'd be a more than able replacement for Strapp defensively.

Is the opposite not true where he started at left back?

Anyway, has he not *just* signed for Dundee?

Yeah. He started at left back when we signed him. Then played left centre half, where he was outstanding and earned the move to Motherwell.

Fantasy land here but id be happy with this line-up next season:

                    Mullen

Grimshaw Baird Lamie Ballantyne

               Wilson    Blues

    Moffat       Lyall      Reynolds

                    Davies

Bench options - Murdoch, Broadfoot, New fullback, Gillespie, King, O'Boy, New midfielder, Bearne, Garrity, New Striker

There's a storm on the horizon

And for that I can't see the sun

For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement

For the ice cream van to come

I'm not comfortable going into the season with Murdoch as our backup keeper. Still young, small and untested. The fact we played an injured Mcdonald for a couple of games over him when Mullen was out says that Dougie knows he's not ready either. Doesnt need to be someone similar to Mullen but at least have a few development/first team games under his belt at a half decent level.

Mullen is clear number 1 but has had a couple of injuries during his short career to date, we need a decent backup should it happen again.

Ah, the annual sub keeper debate.

It really does not matter which ringer is sat on the bench.

Im sure at the Q&A in the Lighthouse Dougie mentioned Murdoch and O’Boy will probably go out on loan this season.

Went to Livi then Motherwell.

Any more Ricki Lamie facts, I’ll be here all day. Shoe size is 12.

Yes, sorry, had that totally backwards.

And yeah he was on a pre-contract to sign for Dundee so that will have taken effect very recently.

He was, only signing it in February but he hasn't been mentioned in Dundee squad updates nor seen in any pre-season media.

Wouldn't be the first time he has reneged on a pre-contract - he dingied the first one he signed for Dundee a few years ago after they got relegated.

Ally Roy has signed for Stirling Albion.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Darragh signs for York City.  Good luck to him.

Robbie Muirhead got off to a good start during Livingston’s preseason friendly at the weekend:

“No12 (Muirhead) was the only one that looked really out of his depth, hope to f**k we haven't signed him.” Lifted from P&B.

Unsurprising.

I have a feeling that Muirhead, Crawford & maybe even Oakley might all turn out to be big disappointments for their new clubs.

Crawford won’t play every week for Thistle, you’d think at this stage of his career he would be wanting as much game time as possible. Him and Kyle Turner fighting for the one spot, and Turner is superior in every way. Oakley all just depends on the service he gets, they’ve signed him and Dowds who play similar. Muirhead is probably the most frustrating player I’ve seen at the club, we know how capable he is, when he can be arsed, but when he can’t be - which is a regular occurrence - he’s anonymous.
