Crawford won’t play every week for Thistle, you’d think at this stage of his career he would be wanting as much game time as possible. Him and Kyle Turner fighting for the one spot, and Turner is superior in every way. Oakley all just depends on the service he gets, they’ve signed him and Dowds who play similar. Muirhead is probably the most frustrating player I’ve seen at the club, we know how capable he is, when he can be arsed, but when he can’t be - which is a regular occurrence - he’s anonymous.

I won't lie.  I was delighted to see the back of Muirhead.  Never took to him from day one and I've always said his career trajectory after leaving us will almost certainly be downwards.  Good.

I don't really care what Muirhead does now, as long as he doesn't score against us. Even if he'd stayed, I suspect that he wouldn't have gotten near his goals tally of last season in any case. Hopefully our new, younger, quicker front line can get us more goals next season.

I tend to agree, his goal record was good, but his overall play was poor mostly. Even though he finished last season as our top scorer, I was fairly happy he moved on, the best option for both parties.

Darragh signs for York City.  Good luck to him.

There he will team up with Dipo Akinyemi. Given that York paid a fee to Ayr for him, you'd have to think O'Connor will be on more money with the Yorkies (sub: check nickname) than with Morton.

Muirhead was a frustrating player and at times difficult to 'like' but we will find it tough to replace his goal tally. I don't bear him any ill will but open season when he is playing against us.

Probably in the minority that was disappointed to see Muirhead go. However if he scores against us next season and starts his pish he gets everything he deserves.

It's not really in Strapp's interest for the club to say he's been released. Nobody said anything about Darragh until he was fixed up at York. If we post that Strapp's a free agent with no contractual interest for Morton that's just going to dampen his potential value (admittedly not by much, but still.)

I do think once his future is sorted some kind of recognition would be nice but for the time being it's better for him if Morton keep their counsel.

Lol. Maws talking about their footballer sons on social media shouldn't be allowed.

Agreed, but if we didn't officially announce Lewis' departure with the usual platitudes (maybe we did and I missed it) then I can see why she's pissed off.

Maybe the offer is still technically on the table, and he hasn't "informed the club of his wish to explore other opportunities at this time and will not be returning to Cappielow."

How so?

Because as of now, with no word to the contrary, he could still have interest from us.

Why, exactly, should she be pissed off?

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

I'm guessing it's because O'Conner's departure was announced by the club with the usual platitudes, whereas Lewis' wasn't. Maybe as TRVMP suggests there's a reason for that. She's just being a protective maw, and I suspect Lewis himself would prefer if she didn't make posts like that.
