I think it's a huge mistake not making more of an effort to keep Strapp time will tell I suppose.

I think that your maybe right too. In all my time in supporting Morton, I would say he was the most interesting and exciting homegrown player to play for Morton.  Covid happened at the wrong time for him, and affected his development.  He also had an absolute prick for an agent too.

I think this move to Finland could be a bit of salvation.  He could go there, get some quality development in different surroundings, perhaps even do well and push ahead with his career.  Theres no reason why he couldn't come back in a few years time and play for a SPL side or even an English team.  We may even see him back at Morton someday.  I'd much rather he went to Finland than joined up with the Herbalife mercenaries en route to Kelty or wherever.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Agreed. Hopefully a relegation battle for Big Ricki then.

Do you not remember the circumstances that led to him leaving the club?

Crawford Rae told Johansson not to play Telfer. Johansson and his assistant walked  before the match, Telfer was brought on as a sub, triggering an extension to his contract but he signed for Falkirk instead.

Or, at least, that's how I remember it playing out, but my memory isn't 100% reliable.

Was it not that he had to start 25 games and the board asked JJ not to start him as that would be his 25th game? JJ walked as he wanted to start him and Telfer ended up coming  on as a sub which didn’t trigger his extension and then he signed for Falkirk.

Since when did we have have to apply logic, consideration for a player acting in the best interests of himself and his family, how he was treated by Morton and the probability that he was offered better terms than another club when deciding whether a player is a rat or not?

He signed for them. Guilty.

Summed up perfectly Toby.
