AyrshireTon
Played against Ross once in the league. Made a magnificent save from his free kick in the first half but a decent free kick was about it for the day - subbed off at 4-0 down, finished 7-0. Played kickabouts down at the ENT with Ross when he was about 12. Great skill and ability, but never passed to anyone. McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up. Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control... That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie. SramTon
Best keep it balanced and have the flipside too - "players who were brilliant for us and complete non events elsewhere". I'm struggling with this category. Andy Ritchie comes to mind, albeit he was already on a downwards slope before leaving us (hence why released); not exactly a non-event at Celtic either. Rowan Alexander possibly, but I think that would be harsh to call him a non-event outside of his time with us. There's been a few guys who got big moves and turned into non-events (Archie Gourlay and Mark McGraw) but neither were even close to brilliant for us. I am i forgetting someone obvious? Look at her riding pillions on Davy’s sea-bike, carrying an apoplectic macaw in a silver hoop. Oh, Morton, let’s go there this winter! Or learning the Japanese chinchona from that Kobe group, in a dress that looks like a blowtorch rising from one knee, and which should sell big in Texas. Morton, is that real fire? Happy, happy little girl!

Scott
Andy McNeil? Maybe not 'brilliant' but came with a pretty grim reputation from every other club and did a great job for us.
SramTon
Ross Forbes, Dunfermline. Good point. I had also misread AyrshireTon's post as non-events everywhere else (i.e. they'd only been brilliant for us and useless everywhere else), rather than just elsewhere (i.e. only need to have been an non-event at one club). That probably opens it up a lot more. You could have Bobby Thomson (not rated at all by Hibs fans) or even the likes of Rajamaki. Malt
I have no idea how Mark McGraw got a move to Hibs. He came back to us worse than ever during his second spell.
El gofer
Think he had a pretty brutal run of injuries at Hibs. He pretty much went into their team after signing. 20.1.

vikingTON
Andy McNeil? Maybe not 'brilliant' but came with a pretty grim reputation from every other club and did a great job for us. Yes, who can possibly forget that time when he... erm... did something or other, nobody really knows. 'He wasn't absolutely gubbins' is a much more accurate description than 'did a great job' then. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are
