Madton
Jamie McDonagh has signed for Sligo Rovers. He speaks here as though Duffy offered him a new deal - https://t.co/5DVFFuqiWX Trust the Duff; “Kudus and Jamie came in this year, two outstanding boys who put such a lot of work into the team and played in many different roles, and you need that as a manager. “But ultimately I just felt that it was better for them to move on and further their careers elsewhere, so wish all those boys well and thank them for their total commitment to the club.†

TRVMP
"Fred" once again plays the ninety as Ostersunds edge past Fola Esch of Luxembourg into the Europa League play-off round, where they will be be unseeded. The draw is tomorrow and among the teams they may face are Ajax, Dinamo Kiev, Fenerbahce, and Zenit.
Ton in Shawlands
He didn't fancy dropping a league, he's only one got career, he's done well, I've no real grudge on how he left, he was going stale at Cappielow that year anyway.

Better duck for cover, quick!! FWIW the guy is a legend and is one of my favourite players ever to play for Morton. Don't care how he left and the circumstances behind it. 1
Ton in Shawlands
I actually agree with you. One funny thing though, the longer Fred was there, the more he was playing off the back foot. Early days he was always on his toes, forward looking, moving on he was playing more lazily/pragmatically.
vikingTON
He didn't fancy dropping a league, he's only one got career, he's done well, I've no real grudge on how he left, he was going stale at Cappielow that year anyway. I think you'll find that he's regarded as a snake for around Scottish football the entire summer before he actually left, only to be rejected and return to Cappielow. Nobody has any issue with him actually leaving at the second time of trying, but he shouldn't have darkened the door of the club again. he was going stale at Cappielow that year anyway. That's one way of describing the performances of a so-called defensive midfielder, in a team that shipped seventy league goals and ten on the final day of the season. 3 1 The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are
vikingTON
Before his red card he was good. After, not. He was absolutely useless in the position for which he was signed, then became a good attacking full-back when playing against comedy outfits (Beith; Queen of the South). His defensive weaknesses/errors were already apparent at the first game at Dunfermline and didn't improve afterwards. We've had worse ringers, but between McDonagh declaring that he performed well and Oyenuga thinking that he is a fans' favourite, I think that standards clearly need to be raised at this once-proud football club. 3 1 The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. TRVMP
Never mind that - even those of us who rated Fred are surely going to ask why he's a "legend." Is that accolade coming in cereal boxes now? Fucking hell, he was a good player who spent a couple of seasons here then moved on to a higher level, on what planet does that make him a legend?

IainMorton
Legend? Behave. He achieved nothing at Morton. Most players achieve nothing when they play for Morton some people call Brian Wake a legend, what did he achieve apart from scoring a couple of goals to stop us getting relegated? Seriously though, how many players leave the club and go on and play European football? Can't think of many.

McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up. Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control... That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie.
