Mr Toon
Indeed he did. Which is not exactly comparable to Craig Reid or Robbie Crawford's exploits, is it? Unless you say 'yes' then the 'played European football!1!1!1' benchmark for 'Morton legends' can be safely left burning at the bottom of a pyre, with snake Bachirou's effigy on top. Well we could selectively go through the list, but Joe Harper played for and scored for Scotland and Robbie Crawford was only ever with us for a loan period, so hardly a Morton 'legend' however you cut it. As for Craig Reid, how did he ever get included on any list? A journeyman who came and went.

As for Craig Reid, how did he ever get included on any list? A journeyman who came and went. You're merely demonstrating my point that the tag of 'played in Europe' isn't a significant achievement for players who used to play for The Famous. There's no doubt which camp of the above Faoud 'coral snake' Bachirou falls into and it's not the McGhees or Harpers. No, he's floundering with the Craig Reids - another confirmed snake - and Robbie Crawford, a complete non-entity. Playing European football does not actually make you a credible footballer, never mind a Morton 'legend'. These are facts. Edited August 4, 2017 by vikingTON The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

TRVMP
Andy McLaren may have played in Europe, but if you think of the Barrie McKay example, to play international football* and score in the English Championship is a much better achievement than playing in a couple of UEFA club qualifiers. *for a country that actually plays football, Fred need not apply here Edited August 4, 2017 by TRVMP

Martyn Naylor, Paul Mathers and Barry Smith also played in Europe, in Naylor's case after he left us in Champions League qualifiers. He was however absolutely fucking dreadful and playing for some Welsh shite at Anfield didn't change that. TRVMP
What about the players that played FOR Morton IN Europe in 1968? I believe they managed the worst record of any British side in UEFA competition. The players who got us to Europe are much more significant. Then again there'd be massive overlap. TRVMP
Not sure if this was posted yet but Kevin Kelbie is now at East Stirlingshire in the Lowland League, where they are down 1-0 at Dalbeattie. The Shire are notable for having long-serving striker Andy Rodgers up front, and Andy Rodgers is notable for looking like Keith Lemon. AyrshireTon
Derek Lyle scores for QoS. McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up. Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control... That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie. Alibi
Definition of a loser is a fat slob who does a woman's job. Do keep up. Benny Arentoft won the Fairs Cup ( now Europa League) with Newcastle and scored in the final. Preben Arentoft. Preben. Never Benny. 2 "Any nation given the opportunity to regain its national sovereignty and which then rejects it is so far beneath contempt that it is hard to put words to it."
