When I said earlier that the strips were the least of our worries when it comes to the clubs lack of marketing department, this is the kind of thing I meant. The age of social media has only provided us more opportunities to appear to be what we clearly are, a third world 2 bob outfit masquerading as a professional club. No one makes the easy look so impossible. Doing a massive disservice to the third world there. I follow, for reasons of my own, a Ugandan Premier League club. Their social media presence blows ours out of the water, and despite being largely disconnected from the global banking system they were able to sell and ship to me a jersey in a week. (Now, admittedly I had to arrange that via email and send the money with Western Union, but it was exceedingly painless, took me 5 minutes, and was dealt with promptly and with friendliness.)
