  1. The bigger concern, for me, is Martindale taking another job. You’d half expect he’d have an input to his replacement, and Imrie seems a fit.
  2. It’s time to convert Lithgow into a target man.
  3. Is it because Save Heat and Blair’s got there first?
  4. We’ve got to be one of the thickest teams in Europe.
  5. It sounded like they are looking for his 1 appearance at Billericay to be void on the basis his contract couldn’t be fulfilled for financial reason. The owner of Billericay is a lunatic, think he owns some other mob now. Worth a look on YouTube, you’d think it was comedy writers behind it. An absolute cretin.
  6. Nobody will ever hear about the boy with no legs he’s helping
  7. https://youtu.be/ys_jh26Yuxk Skip to question 4, 7:30ish
  8. It’s Glenn on Glenn, it’s Tamplin on Tamplin.
  9. His scripted Q&As with the boy in the office as the interviewer are priceless - Gervais quality.
  10. His 15 year old boy is a regular feature in the first team. The best Glenn moment was the time he gave the homeless alcoholic a job at the club, with big Twitter fanfare, only to catch the guy on CCTV 2 days later clearing the place in bin bags. It’s comedy gold!
  11. There’s liferally nothing stopping anyone setting up their own version of MCT. I think things like the pledge thing not working were beyond amateurish, but it’s not competing against something more worthwhile - the Trust is dead and the GC budget to Morton is cut in any case.
  12. The highlight was the game against an already relegated Stenhousemuir at Cappielow, with still a chance of promotion, and getting mauled 4-1. You couldn’t have made some of it up. If you’re not able to enjoy Morton at their most humiliated you’re not in it for the right reasons. If we’d managed to get up Hamilton might have stayed down a bit longer instead of selling players for millions, and we’d have avoided Gretna. We’d probably be St Johnstone now.
  13. The collapse season was probably my most enjoyed.
  14. I was also lucky enough to see a 0-0 draw between Orlando and Chicago. Stood behind the goal, it was more like being at a gig. No one was really, if they’re being honest, really that interested in what was happening on the pitch, but they were belting out the songs for 90 minutes non-stop. Songs with chorus and verse...
  15. I stumbled across live televised 12 year olds playing softball last time I was over. The sporting culture is mind boggling. Walked round UGA last summer, a 90,000+ seater stadium stuck in middle of the campus. Utterly nuts!!
  16. Great intel! Never quite understood why they didn’t go down the college route as a tier below, or feeder to, MLS. It’s a model the public understand well. From the outside looking in, and only having a passing interest in it, the MLS looks too big with the effect a heavily diluted elite. A second tier with promotion and relegation would be an alien concept but it’s perhaps getting to a number where it is necessary.
  17. What happens to the NASL then? Was there not some half decent sides in that league?
  18. Could we have, in theory, held on to his player registration in the event of that happening? It was a non-playing position he moved to.
  19. He's only half as good as he believes he is, but works twice as hard as those with twice the ability, which has led him to make a good living in the game. Hats off to him.
  20. Leon Knight speaks highly of Duffy. Relatable to all walks of society. An Everyman.
  21. Queen of the South striker Derek Lyle has been granted a licence to run his mother's single-cab taxi firm despite objections from Police Scotland.
