His 15 year old boy is a regular feature in the first team. The best Glenn moment was the time he gave the homeless alcoholic a job at the club, with big Twitter fanfare, only to catch the guy on CCTV 2 days later clearing the place in bin bags. It’s comedy gold!

The highlight was the game against an already relegated Stenhousemuir at Cappielow, with still a chance of promotion, and getting mauled 4-1. You couldn’t have made some of it up. If you’re not able to enjoy Morton at their most humiliated you’re not in it for the right reasons. If we’d managed to get up Hamilton might have stayed down a bit longer instead of selling players for millions, and we’d have avoided Gretna. We’d probably be St Johnstone now.

Great intel! Never quite understood why they didn’t go down the college route as a tier below, or feeder to, MLS. It’s a model the public understand well. From the outside looking in, and only having a passing interest in it, the MLS looks too big with the effect a heavily diluted elite. A second tier with promotion and relegation would be an alien concept but it’s perhaps getting to a number where it is necessary.
