TONofmemories
Hoppy in today's paper saying he wants to bring in 3 players. Two defenders and a keeper. Said we've had 4 in who've opted to go elsewhere for more money TIME FOR CHANGE!

TRVMP
Pearson leaves by mutual consent. So we're down to one keeper while Hopkin looks for another.

El gofer
The statement following MCT money said that funds were available for 2 more players. Hopkin indicated that he was looking for 2 defenders plus a goalkeeper. I would assume that Pearson leaving frees up money for a third player. 20.1.
Chesh
His long term injury must have been worse than expected, makes sense to free up a wage sooner rather than later. Just hope we get someone in asap. Im making perfect sense, your just not keeping up.My Twitter - https://twitter.com/RJChesh
vikingTON
I find it hard to believe that we're saving much money from 'mutually consenting' a contracted player because of injury; certainly not enough to sign a like for like replacement. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are
Scott
Another tremendous signing by that moron JJ. It's almost as if signing a permanently crocked footballer is a bad idea.

dmcewan16
If were going down the loan route i would be asking about Jamie McDonald at Killie. Not playing and a more than decent keeper.
TheGoon
No chance he’d come to us, he’d fancy his chances of getting Juve’s 8th choice keeper out the #1 position anyway. I can only assume Pearson’s injury is a long-term one and he wanted to go home, which is fair enough, but as VT says we’re unlikely to be saving much money. bigB
Now just get a decent keeper in and take the young boy out the firing line no pun intended to try and gain some confidence in the reserves.

bigB
It is shocking that if true that St Mirren and now Morton refusing to pay for ops for players professional clubs should have to have insurance to cover their players.

'Should'. It's a systematic issue and pretty commonplace at this level.
vikingTON
I don't think the standard 'insurance' is anywhere near as comprehensive as you think it is. For there to be a range of rehab options for an injury is pretty commonplace and not all of them are going to fall under those terms (and shouldn't, otherwise the premiums would have to be ridiculous to cover all specialist and private options out there). In fact didn't this just happen with another player at the club in the last 12 months? It seems like we've been through this debate already. TRVMP
I could be wrong but I think the bulk of football insurance goes towards catastrophe cover - death, or injury that results in a permanent loss of earnings. I doubt even semi-regular injuries like ACLs are covered much.
