2024/25 Squad and Transfers

Considering the injuries now at CB you would imagine we would be looking for something short term it gives me the absolute fear to think of Broadfoot starting a good chunk of championship games the majority of teams will love playing against a 39 year old who can't defend and has no pace.

I thought I heard something about Alex Samuel being possible available for a loan if possible I think that's something we might look into, Grimshaw would be a dream also someone to win the ball in midfield and provide a bit of muscle and stamina in there would help.

St Johnstone’s first goal is a clear illustration of time catching up with Broadfoot. He’s ventured upfield and under hits a pass. He then does a wee jump in the air and shouts at his teammate for being dispossessed. He’s then not able to keep up with the pace of St Johnstone’s break away, arriving at his box just after they’ve scored, where he repeats the wee jump/shouting combo twice.

Has the guy Sinclair we had on trial found a club yet? Wouldn’t be against giving him a contract until January if we have the budget.

I was wondering that too. If Corr’s injury is long term we need to consider our options, within the limits of our budget.

Interesting in the St Johnstone game that Imrie chose to put King on at centre mid and drop Wilson to centre back. The more obvious choice seemed to be King on at left back and Delaney in to centre back. That says to me he doesn’t have much confidence in Delaney as a central defender.

I thought Broadfoot was complaining at Corr for being dragged wide and leaving the guy free in the middle rather than being annoyed at Moffat for the pass. He definitely looks over at Corr before his huff.

Corr had been left in a shit position and had to make a split second decision to stay or go and probably made it easier for them to score but don’t know how Broadfoot had the nerve to complain if that’s what he did.

He's a midfielder so could see the logic in that although I'm hoping that doesn't mean Grimshaw is off our radar.

MacKenzie Carse is a centre mid who was on loan at QP last season

Dapo Mebude i know nothing about. Assuming JET is Jay Emmanuel Thomas the striker formerly of Livingston?

Emmanuel-Thomas presumably would have played at Livi whilst Imrie was a coach there. He was good at Livi tbf, but his career's fairly nosedived since. Shite at Aberdeen, season in India, and just come off a spell of 9 games, 0 goals for Kidderminster Harriers as they were relegated from the Conference.

Sounds like a very Imrie sort of target.

Bearne released. Hopefully frees up the budget to get some key additions in.

Bearne is away.

Correct decision for all parties. For whatever reason it just never worked out for him here. Good luck to him.

Under utilised imo. Good contributions last season (away to Arbroath, home to Airdrie, Home to QP, home to Dunfermline) and deserved more game time than he got. Normally his good performances were followed by a benching. Imrie clearly didn't fancy him.
