McMenamin got another today. Clearly found his level.

McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up.
Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control...

That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie.

Joe McKee is the only player to miss a penalty as Carlisle go out the league cup 14-13 to Derby.

Well, apart from Charlie Wyke and Jabo Ibehre.

McCormick named as Market Drayton number two

Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Market Drayton Town have named Steve McCormick as their new assistant-manager.

The former Scottish striker, 47, was unveiled at the Greenfields Sports Ground on Monday night as number two to manager Martyn Davies at the Evo-Stik NPL First Division South club.

McCormick turned out for a number of professional clubs north of the border including Queens Park, Stirling Albion, Dundee, Greenock Morton, Airdrie, East Fife, Clydebank and Dumbarton.

In the 1990s he enjoyed a short spell with Leyton Orient before moving on to play in the Welsh Premier at Newtown, Connah`s Quay Nomads and Cwmbran Town before retiring in 2004.

A club spokesman said: "Steve will add vital experience to manager Martyn Davies' coaching team."

I read his book, what a tragic individual.

I haven't read it yet but I did read Steve Paterson's book, imaginatively titled 'Pele', and fuck me he's been through some scrapes, almost all self-inflicted. Great book but real reading-through-fingers stuff at times.
