That, the increase in membership/contributions from MCT and the increase in financial support from Dalrada as mention after the cup game? Aye, lifted from SPFL Mediawatch on Twitter, who’s generally quite good with facts and figures but is insufferable as soon as he gives his opinion on anything.

Jamie_M
For comparison, here's what he posted from the previous season. Which didnt quite match what Morton posted in their financial update. But the main point is, our prize money was up a fair bit thanks to the cups and despite missing out on the playoffs and the £100k jumps for each position above 5th. That, the increased sponsorship, MCT and a bit extra from the decent cup gates - we might even have surpassed our estimated £200k profit.

We've had the 'luck' of cup draws away to the Old Firm banking an extra £250k each the past 2 seasons which we know we can't bank on every season. I'd think the figures for this past season might show that we were in profit even if that was taken out.which would be very encouraging.

I think the difference between the table and the accounts is due to this being SPFL prize money and does not include Scottish Cup revenue (which is an SFA competition)

The 22/23 figures don't include League Cup prize money under 'Cup' revenue, which is probably why a third column was added for 23/24. * Which still didn't stop their big-spending, low-support strategy from coming a cropper within 12 months. Just let that sink in. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

They do say that some of their figures are estimated based on what info is out there. More than likely the league prize money was slightly higher than expected. TRVMP
That's Zak Delaney, ex-ICT and Arbroath. Any word on Brynn Sinclair, the center-back? I assume he's not being offered anything yet but will he be around for Alloa tomorrow?

Stevie Aitken's Love Child
Jay Bird, who we had previously been linked with after his release from Arbroath, has signed for Exeter City. Surprisingly good move for him.

Linked well with Garrity, good running off the ball to create space and I believe it was him who protected the ball then played in Davies for his 1 on 1. Also somehow controlled a pass that the trialist CB blasted at his face, then managed to keep possession. Let’s just hope he can defend too. Only caveat here is that, due to the shoogly camerawork, one or more of these actions may not actually have been carried out by him.
