If that's the case then it makes it all the more important that the remaining defensive signing can play centre back as well. We obviously need more full back cover anyway but we really can't be going through the season with Broadfoot as third choice centre back. I suppose we can have a reshuffle with Delaney being able to play centre back and Ballantyne being able to play left back if we were to bring in another right back, but you want to keep the defence as settled as possible rather than needing to shift everyone around whenever one of your first choice centre backs is missing.

Almost certainly pipe dream stuff, but Lamie and Grimshaw would be ideal signings, giving centre back, left back, right back and central midfield options from two experienced pros.

Not many left footed centre backs - who aren't total dogshit - within our scope of realistic signings so can only agree with the above. If we're going to change style (which I'm more apprehensive about) then this is a key addition. 

It means we have pretty decent depth in that position too.

Morgan Boyes. Livi player that was on loan at Inverness last season. Left footed centre back that’s good on the ball who played as trialost tonight. 
 

Sinclair I think is the other trialist centre back who played vs QOTS and tonight. Looked quite impressive both games but can’t see us signing another central defender as we now have four in the squad not including someone like Delaney who can cover there.

Nah I think he is from New Zealand or something? I didn’t really keep up with who he was when people were talking about it on here so I’m not the best to ask. I remember it being mentioned on here after the QOTS game but I was steaming that night so don’t remember the details.
