Back to the usual power hungry wee gestapo guys today. Not allowing kids to sit in the shed if they don't have an adult with them. There's a storm on the horizon And for that I can't see the sun For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement For the ice cream van to come

For some reason the board have a blindspot on this and it continues to give an awful impression of the club. Get a grip and get this sorted and if that means binning the current contractor then so be it. Nobody will miss them.
Toby Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 Nice to see things improving in the match day experience on so many fronts. Sadly though, the more things change, the more they stay the same. I very much doubt that I’m wrong in making an assumption as to who he’s talking about, but the sooner this witch is emptied the better. 2
Popular Post dunning1874 Posted March 8, 2023 Popular Post Posted March 8, 2023 That conduct last night should surely be the final straw for the steward in question. It can be a genuine mistake to not realise there's a minute silence in the first place, but to bellow "don't tell me to shut up!" after having it pointed out is completely unacceptable. 2 2 Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake Oh Lord, Brian Wake

To be fair, she did apologise and look pretty embarrassed when she finally realised what was going on. I'm not defending her in general, and I'm not saying she shouldn't have been more aware or professional last night, but she did apologise when she realised.
gmfc23 Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 The steward in question is a fkn idiot and needs emptied asap. A complete cluster fk every week with no sign of it changing.
GiGi Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 The nexus of wee fuds at the back of the shed graduated to chucking coins into the people in front of them today. Stewards nowhere to be seen when they're actually needed. 1 Peter Weatherson is the greatest player since Ritchie, and should be assigned 'chairman for life'

Stewards nowhere to be seen as usual.
Popular Post The Bewilderedbeast Posted October 30, 2024 Popular Post Posted October 30, 2024 (edited) So, here we go again. Just learned today that the kids (7 Yr olds) who are playing for the Morton Community 2017's section were gifted a Halloween box after training last night. The box contains a few small bags of sweets and a candy apple. One wee lad went straight from training to Cappielow and his box was taken from him by a steward, who said he wasn't allowed to take it in with him. Yet again stewards doing nothing to encourage youngsters to attend the games. I've emailed the CEO, SLO, & Admin at the Club as I can see no reason a child cannot be allowed in with sone sweets and a candy apple. Edited October 30, 2024 by The Bewilderedbeast 3
Guest capitanus Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 Candy Apples could be used as a projectile.
The Bewilderedbeast Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 The offending box, minus a bag of crisps. Not the one taken, this is my grandsons.

vikingTON Posted October 30, 2024 Author Posted October 30, 2024 Not strictly stewarding but the obnoxious persistence of whichever group was raising funds outside the ground yesterday - two phalanxes of snippy weans beseeching money at either end of Sinclair Street; then two rounds of the Norseman as well - fair ripped my knitting. I don't care what cause was being funded - it was as irritating as going down Buchanan Street on a Saturday afternoon with the professional version of the same antics. It's just as well they didn't try their luck inside the ground too given the scoreline. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are
The Bewilderedbeast Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 At least the SLO, Martin, replied this evening about 8:30. Said he's already raised the issue with the club and report back to me. I've suggested that the Club replace the wee fellas sweets as to do so would go someway to restoring confidence in the club to do things right, for a change, even if it is only 2-3£s worth.

Guest capitanus Posted October 31, 2024 Posted October 31, 2024 Brilliant idea for next years halloween game, if there is one. Its based loosely on 'Chuck-a-puck' which happens in Ice Hockey games. Everyone pays a pound for an apple and the female head steward stands in the centre circle and everyone throws their apple at her. Whoever manages to hit her gets a prize. Discuss.
