Berwick surely has to be away this time.

Preferably.

Peter Weatherson is the greatest player since Ritchie, and should be assigned 'chairman for life'

Not sure if everyone's aware, Edinburgh City are groundsharing with Spartans this season so if we're away to them it'll not be a new ground to visit for those of us who haven't been to Meadowbank.

Meadowbank is fucking horrific, just go for a midweek game sometime when Morton aren't playing if you want to do "the 42."

Well that's a bit s***e. What's the reason for the ground share?

Meadowbank's being done up, with a new pitch and new (considerably smaller) stand being put in. There's still going to be a running track unfortunately, so still a million miles away from the pitch. They'll be back there for the 18/19 season.

Don't the second seed have to play away to the first seed (like we did at Killie last season)?

Fresh stain on the floor when I moved in. He may have checked out short of a useful amount of blood.

You are all utter fools. At least try to run your fingers along last season's schedule, which was deliberately provided to you by yours truly just this morning.

If nothing changes from last season's setup then our group fixtures will be:

Berwick (a)

Queens Park (h)

Motherwell (a)

Edinburgh City (h)

Also known as one of the best cup draws that we've had in decades. Three pretty straightforward wins, comfortable progression and above all else, Berwick away.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

The best way to work it out though would be to look at how the fixtures panned out for all of last season's groups to see if a pattern emerges in the matches between the seeded teams, and that would suggest that if the same format is followed, we're certs to be going to Fir Park.

Group A Dundee (1st seeds) 6-2 Dumbarton (2nd seeds)

Group B St. Johnstone (1) 3-0 Falkirk (2)

Group C Inverness (1) 1-1 Dundee United (2) Inverness won 4-1 on penalties

Group D Ross County (1) 1-1 Raith Rovers (2) Raith Rovers won 4-3 o penalties

Group E Partick Thistle (1) 2-1 Queen of the South (2)

Group F Motherwell (1) 0-2 Rangers (2)

Group G Hamilton (1) 3-0 St. Mirren (2)

Group H Kilmarnock (1) 0-2 Morton (2)

As an interesting aside, nice to see Raith Rovers managed to win a penalty shoot out when it meant the square root of f*ck all  :thumbup2: .
