"beith" Vs Greenock Morton

The Beith Twitter account is a sickening tableau of ****ing bumpkinry. And it seeks to hint that the game will be off.

I know I've said this already but having Junior teams in the cup is against everything senior football should stand for.

One of their tweets said the game isn't "officially" off. Suggests there's no chance. Ridiculous that this outfit not having floodlights is going to affect our league fixtures.

Our Belgian correspondent should be along shortly to inform us of the playing conditions and some inane 'lesson' we should be learning from some no-mark, outfit from that bin*.

*Belgium, not North Ayrshire**.

** Also a bin though.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

as i said before, if its off on saturday then when will we play them as december should not be better weather wise according to weather experts.  No floodlights either so could end up with a 1pm kick off midweek.  Starting to agree with nacho about this; certainly a team should have some basics like floodlights etc to be allowed to enter cup competition.

If all of the supporters volunteered to have the wee lights on their phones on, few torches and that....

Anyway, I've been as sick as a particularly sick pig since Monday night, so have no chance of making it down to stand about in sub zero temperatures, being harangued by folks who think we're hoity toity, uppity so and so's due to our 'electrickery' and 'inside WCs'...

We should instead volunteer our pyrotechnic expertise to burn down their stupid hovel of a ground*; maybe with the insurance payoff they can upgrade to the bare minimum facilities that proper clubs have had for over half a century now, and almost 150 years after the first ever floodlit game was played.

*in the offchance that Police Scotland are reading this, please allow me to go on record as saying that if Bellsdale Park is in fact consumed by an ill-timed conflagration, then this is absolutely and unequivocaly hilarious.

It's nothing to do with them not having floodlights. We'd be playing this next Saturday even if they did. After that it would go to a midweek afternoon.

I'd be very surprised if this game is on unless there's a sudden inrush of cloud and some rain.

McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up.
Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control...

That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie.

Couple of flares and the pitch would thaw out in no time

TIME FOR CHANGE!

I googled a long range forecast which goes right up to 22nd February 2017.  No mention of any snow in Greenock this winter.  How the feck can they forecast the weather 3 months in advance other than maybe a rough idea what the average temperature is likely to be?

"Any nation given the opportunity to regain its national sovereignty and which then rejects it is so far beneath contempt that it is hard to put words to it."
