May be a wind up but according to Ayr fans on pie and bovril Jack Baird is off to Falkirk and Sean McGinty is returning to us.

Baird is signed on for the new season

There's a storm on the horizon

And for that I can't see the sun

For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement

For the ice cream van to come

I'm all for trying to reign in the pessimism as best as possible as it's early but it's fucking shite right now.

Interestingly I believe Imrie has unfollowed big George on Twitter - but not others that he has let go. After his "wtf" repost last week I wonder if he's agreed a deal then pissed off once Ayr had come in.

I can't blame Oakley if he's potentially doubled his wages irrespective of any comments he made regarding his affection for Morton.

Aye, what he said can be true but even if he's on £300 a week more it's a big difference when it's a short career. I get the loyalty argument but he could her injured in the first game and it's his last contract.

No one is going to turn down about 15 grand a year more out of loyalty to an employer when it's a fairly low paying job.

Reading Oakley’s comments upon signing for Ayr, compared with his comments in the tele very recently about Morton, I can only come to the conclusion that the guy is a grade A bullshitter.

Folk panicking about losing someone like Oakley would do well to remember how low his stock was when we picked him up, Inverness fans were literally laughing at us. He hasn’t displayed the form he did with us at any other point in his career, and a return to the norm for him would represent an extremely poor return on Ayr’s significant investment. Here’s hoping.

Spot on !

In hindsight I bet Dougie wishes he’d left him up at Inverness to rot

Revisionism at it's finest.

We’ve lost our best players given new deals to some of our most average players. Unless our new signings are an upgrade on what we lost then it’s going to be a real struggle next season
