dunning1874
Will MCT be consulting with fans on the colt proposals at any point? Clubs have reportedly been given until next Wednesday to give initial feedback on whether they'd back it before it moves to a vote, so if they're planning to get the views of their members and fans to confirm that a resounding no is the only acceptable answer, they need to get a move on. 2 Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake Oh Lord, Brian Wake

There's not a single non-OF club in the country whose fans wouldn't overwhelmingly vote 'no' for a League 2 Colt placement. I say this as someone who's not even anti-Colts in the pyramid, provided they start at an appropriate level. The Morton fanbase would vote at *least* 80% against Colts in league 2. Wouldn't be slightly surprised if it was over 90%. The remaining 10% of weirdos can fuck off to Glasgow.

Alibi
I heard something on the radio about this proposed reconstruction. I am open minded about the idea of increasing the number of clubs to 48, but none of those 48 should be OF colt teams. Would also like to know how 12 team leagues would work as to get around 36 games would be difficult unless there was some sort of split part way through the season. "Any nation given the opportunity to regain its national sovereignty and which then rejects it is so far beneath contempt that it is hard to put words to it." According to the previous update HMRC aren't the issue any more, it is 'lawyers ticking boxes', which has now taken nearly a full month to complete. I certainly hope that we are not paying by the hour for this exercise or else someone needs their arse booted. We are now 33 days past the completion date that was set. The whole season ticket setup is currently almost as shambolic as before. The new kit looks decent but customers can't get their hands on it for another 7 weeks. Meanwhile our first team might have ditched the quantity from last season but quite where the quality is coming from remains a mystery. To have some of these issues is to be expected (and indeed was reason 1A why our 'crucial' league survival was nothing of the sort). To encounter all of them and have not one single big ticket item progress smoothly across the finishing line yet is not an encouraging start. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. The last of my 24 monthly payments is coming out in the next couple of days too with no word on renewing, etc. Would imagine a lot of people are the same around now and the payments will just end so not sure how that will affect our budget. I guess people could just sign up again although personally, I'm holding off until we know more about where the money will be going now and who's responsible for it. TRVMP made a point about how they’ll consider a lot of the comments as white noise and moaning for the sake of moaning, but these guys are doing less and less to inspire any confidence from me with every passing day. Blanking the concerns of those of us who are paying a beast’s wages out of our own pockets without any explanation whatsoever is of course the biggest slap on the face that MCT have given us, but continuing to just brush off the complaints about accountability shows me that they really couldn’t give a flying fuck about our opinions. I listened to part 3 of the podcast last night and was interested to hear Dean, Craig and Alan discuss customer service at the club. I had a number of issues with Gillian Donaldson and TOMB back in the day, and nowadays, dealing with Brendan and Lesley Anne is an absolute pleasure. Sadly, those above seem to be taking the approach that the fans are an inconvenience who should turn up, pay their money and shut up whilst they get on with the important business. The contempt that the Raes, Donaldsons, Hawkes and MacKinnons of this world showed to the Morton supporters in years gone by was one of Morton’s biggest own goals in the last 20 years- I really fear that the old boys network at the top of MCT are showing that same contempt for those whose money is putting them in their positions.

Popular Post vikingTON
Yeah I'm not sure that's a legally legit maneuvre never mind an advisable one. This is people's money we're talking about here - you can't ask them to opt out of just taking a Direct Debit out of their bank account in perpetuity, when the clearly stated term was limited to 24 months only. MCT already has their contact details, the onus should be on it to convince as many as possible to opt-in instead for a rolling membership, if that is the scheme that they've chosen. There should also incidentally be a new set of terms and conditions, because many of the supposed benefits of MCT membership 24 months ago were never fulfilled. Personally I'm fine with having the club prised out of GC's mitts rather than discounts or exclusive 'member access' scheme that they were flogging at that time, but the details of what MCT membership involves now are absolutely not the same as 24 months ago. Make your pitch, get folk to opt-in. Anything else shows a worrying degree of arrogance.
