  1. When he left us he joined Postecoglou's Brisbane Roar and won back-to-back A-League Championships. Also, the Roar were managed on an interim basis in 2019 by Darren Davies (who kept the seat warm for Robbie Fowler).
  2. It was chief of ticketing and retail operations thank you. Don't forget all those programmes I sold.
  3. I disagree with your analysis that the scheme is lurching from disaster to disaster because a director resigned. And no I'm not involved with MCT other than being a member.
  4. Checked in with an former colleague who now works for Brentford B about Oksanen:
  5. Maybe I'll get mine delivered in time for Christmas
  6. I think it's a good idea, I hope it works, and I'll continue to support it. I don't have the same concerns as others but that may change in time of course. I think I can help and I've applied to be an Associate Director.
  7. Well, if you think I'm condescending now just you wait until I get my blazer and tie (and, hopefully, pocket square).
  8. ...perhaps because the point of the project has changed so the nature of what the donations are for has changed? In terms of the unsigned emails, my assumption has always been it's not signed because there isn't (or doesn't appear to be) someone in a specific leadership role whose name can be attached to official communications, like a Chairperson for example. Based on the 'about' section of the new MCT website there are teams in place but nobody has been appointed to specific roles (or if they have it's not been declared on the website), perhaps that will change/improve when Directors are appointed and specific roles assigned? I can't say that not having an email signed by anyone has given me any cause for concern nor makes me think they are ignoring the fanbase, especially when one of the MCT 'communications team' runs this forum and will be fully aware of the feedback regularly given about this issue.
  9. I've been in ticketing in various roles since 2006, and was Head of Ticketing & Retail for Exeter City for 3 years until early 2020. Majority owned by their supporter trust for the last 20 years or so; they took over after dodgy directors bled the club dry and left them in a financial mess. Best goddamn programme seller in the league I was.
  10. What about relevant experience that could help MCT address and overcome supporter concerns around ticketing, retail, and how to communicate to and reconnect with its supporter-base?
  11. What makes you think my intentions are anything other than honourable?
  12. There wasn't a role to be appointed to?
  13. As someone with the relevant experience they are looking for, and a lack of ties in his wardrobe, I am considering it yes.
  14. Is there any indication that any of these highlighted parts are the case or are we just inventing scenarios about the people involved? I agree more communication is important but for a poster to be forecasting the end of the football club because there haven't been more updates about who is running the club is just madness. I'm not necessarily defending the incumbents - I contacted them after the takeover was first announced to offer some existence or advice, given I'd spent 3 years working for a supporter owned football club and thought my experiences would be extremely relevant, but after being cc'd into some sort working group email I haven't heard anything since...maybe they think they know better?
  15. It's been three weeks since the date mooted as the official takeover date passed, there's been a couple of updates telling us why that hasn't happened yet and we know they are working on it, and you think the club is going to go out of existence because they haven't provided more updates? Would you like an update to say there's no news? These are essentially volunteers setting this up so I think we can probably show a bit of patience to let the thing happen before getting all woe is me about it.
  16. ...because they haven't done this before and hadn't anticipated these delays? Maybe they only want to provide updates when they have something concrete to update us with? Maybe it's only the 9th of June and they should be given a chance to put right the wrongs of the past 20 years? Maybe I don't know because they've stopped replying to my emails?
  17. There has been an update on that though, telling us it had been delayed and more info would be available when the legal/HMRC hoops had been jumped through...
  18. So far so signing all the same players again to have the same dreadful season?
  19. Why are they offering a version that sees the club retain debts that exist as a result of how they managed the club? Dougie ran the club like it was his pet project (including signing players without telling the manager at the time) and now, potentially, the club gets saddled with two million pounds of debt because they don't fancy it anymore?
  20. Perfect for taking on one of the 19.99 Jab & Go Ryanair flights that won't happen
  21. A good statement, hopefully this is a sign that members of MCT being on the club board provides additional clarity and transparency to the support. Good hear membership numbers are rising as well.
  22. Absolutely - the entire range is absolutely overpriced. 14.99 for a calendar is indeed a rip-off. I wonder if it's related to Smiths ordering / supplying on behalf of Morton and both parties trying to make sure they receive a margin on each product, which in turn drives up the price. As always, I'm not surprised they can't get this kind of thing right...it really shouldn't be this difficult.
