Our last foreign center-back was that Serbian jobber during the League One season, if memory serves? He was very meh.

That was during the 10-2, Efe Ambrose & Gary O'Connor/Nacho Novo Championship season. Habai or something his name was although that could be completely wrong. Did he not sign for Dundee or something afterwards?

Michal Habai and Tomáš Peciar were signed in the 13/14 season - Stefan Milojevic signed (from Airdrie though) the following season.

Peciar delivered one of the best defensive performances in footballing history against those beggars and got a move to Brian Wake's Östersunds FK. Last seen milling around the lower leagues of central Europe and is still only a year older than Buchanan, so bringing him home is still a possibility. Habai was rubbish but got a move to Livingston before heading back to the Slovak regional leagues. Milojevic was a donkey and presumably ended up in a glue factory.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Completely forgot milojovic even existed, which is saying something considering I'd forgotten habai even existed yet pulled his name out my arse from nowhere.

Peciar was a bit of a Lamie type. Very dodgy at left-back, looked pretty good when he moved inside - if memory serves, he was actually starting to play quite well just before he left. Habai was a bit of a mentalist but pretty rotten, Milojevic was totally unmemorable.

It's a fairly common name in the Balkans, surely it's someone else?

I followed him on Instagram years ago and never unfollowed. Its correct. He lives in Mallorca and appears to work on the doors of Magaluf nightclubs although seems to have taken his UFC career up a notch lately.

TIME FOR CHANGE!

That's utterly superb.

JJ says he’ll be looking to get Kiltie & McCrorie back next season but it’ll obviously be difficult. I’d be happy with that but I suspect Kiltie will get a chance with Jones moving on.

'Potential to be a Championship defender' is hardly a glowing endorsement for a player who has already made more than 100 appearances at this level and 'won' promotion from it last time round. He is 29 years old and has arrived at the club as the finished article; that finished article is simply of 'seaside league haddy' standard.

When I responded with my personal viewpoint of which players I’d like to keep, glowing endorsements for current Morton players weren’t on my radar. Apart from Tids, I was thinking more about basic competetence for this level, which is pretty much all we can hope for in our current predicament. Again as I pointed out, Buchanan is the only player I put a caveat against, as I’m not 100% sure he can cut it, however I’m not certain either way, which is why I excercised my right to express my opinion. You could turn out to be correct as could I. I would be far from devastated if he left the club, although TBH I’d keep him before Kilday.

I can't actually remember Milozevic at all.  Habai and Peciar, yes, but Milosevic?  How many games did he play for us?

Was in and out the squad throughout Duffy's first season in League 1. Think he played around 20 games.

I think I've blanked out much of that season and the one after.  Apart from the win at Parkhead.  We really have had a pretty unmemorable last 20 years.
