BishopBrennan Posted May 15, 2019 Share Posted May 15, 2019 It should definitely have been dealt with before now, for sure, but in the whirlwind of a new CEO and manager it's probably a bit down the list. I'd expect it to be dealt with within the next week or so though, if McKinnon is serious about enhancing income it should be one of his first tasks once he gets his feet under the table. It's a PR issue as well, it really isn't a good look. I don't think a change in CEO is an acceptable excuse for this one. We have full-time commercial staff who should be able to carry on with their job regardless of a change of CEO. The staff inside the club have been there for years, I don't think a certain degree of autonomy is too much to expect from experienced members of staff. I remember when the last commercial manager left the role wasn’t filled, but don’t know if Lesley Anne has stepped into that role or has a more limited remit. vikingTON Posted May 15, 2019 Share Posted May 15, 2019 Sales is just a (significant) subdivision of 'commercial' staff though; although it really would sum up GMFC in its tinpot, two bob sweetie company guise if the task of peddling replica tops would be firewalled off from peddling hospitality packages to sell to the exact same customer base. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away.
