I couldn’t have imagined when walking out of the ground that glorious day in April 2019 just how things would have gone from bad to so much worse for them to the extent that they’re realistically looking at a fourth year in that division, with another monied club coming up from League Two and ready to storm past them towards next year’s title. Even when you consider how much of a shit show we’ve been for most of those intervening years, the Falkirk soap opera’s been fantastic viewing to soften the blow. There’s always someone worse off than yourself, and I for one couldn’t have cherry picked a bigger shower of bastards for that fate to befall. Get it up them. Exactly, fuck them. Horrible club long before the judas stuff and a horrible fan base. Even remember folk on here worrying that they'd be back ahead of us within two years. Judas and his plan for the Premiership feels like a lifetime ago now. Briliant watching.

They're about the size of a yo-yo club and for most of my lifetime that's what they were. When I started watching Morton, Falkirk were a speck in the distance, sitting mid table in the bottom tier. That’s where they belong in my eyes. 4 McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up. Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control... That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie. vikingTON
Enjoying The Journey. 2 The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are
Boogs49
Some Falkirk fans saying that Gus McPherson was at their game yesterday. Scenes if he gets the gig when the Rennie/Miller dream team are emptied.
TRVMP
Their last three appointments have all been younger managers with fresh ideas and spreadsheets and have absolutely shit the bed. They may now veer wildly to the other end of the spectrum and put McPherson in charge. I think McPherson could get more of a tune out of the Falkirk squad than the current guy can, although that's not saying much. From what I've seen of Falkirk their central midfield is posted missing 100% of the time, far more than even our own. Plus they're full of calamitous mistakes at the back. That's why, despite the fact they actually have plenty of goals in them, they've lost an astonishing 12 league games out of 29, unthinkable for a full-time team at that level. When we won the league under Duffy we lost 11 out of 36 and that was considered very high for a professional squad (Dunfermline, hilariously, finished 7th that year, but lost "only" 14, a figure Falkirk are on course to at least match.) I can easily see their BoD wanting a steady hand at the tiller and going for experience this time, and Gus is one of a few coaches out of work who fits that description nicely. Unfortunately, as we saw this season, a steady hand isn't necessarily a good hand. It can lead you steadily towards relegation. Here's hoping! Cet Homme Charmant
I could be wrong, but I thought we're still paying Gus' salary as he's on 'gardening leave', i.e., still under contract? If so, him getting the Falkirk gig could same us a fair amount of dosh.
TRVMP
If that's the case we should charge Falkirk for managerial compensation. He's still under contract, after all.

Boogs49
They're doing quite well today managing to keep the score down, it's only 1-0 to Montrose in Grangemouth at half time.

Popular Post TRVMP
Incredibly they're now six points off 4th place with an admittedly off-form QP having a game in hand over them. QP also have a far superior goal difference. If the Spiders take just five points from five games, then even a 100% win record for Falkirk wouldn't be enough to see them in the playoffs (where they'd get scudded anyway.) Looks like another season in the Sunday league, then, with Kelty coming up and either QoS or Dunfermline going down to make it a tougher division next year. Sad!
GiGi
Dunfermline down would be great. Spending half their season getting humped in Fife. 2 Peter Weatherson is the greatest player since Ritchie, and should be assigned 'chairman for life'
TRVMP
Based on their performance against us, Dunfermline would absolutely stroll that division (and condemn Falkirk to a further year in the wilderness.) I'm praying for this outcome.
