I'd hope that since he's been training with the first team down there that he must have something about him. Agree about Sammut, he was absolutely dreadful despite being Chelsea's U23 captain - and earning over £10k per week apparently.

Billy Gilmour is on more than 10k and he’s 18 or something, Sammut will be on at least double which is worrying.

Think it goes to prove that the majority of these guys will just end up at a shite level a couple years after leaving the big teams. They all think they’ve made it at 18 due to these astronomical wages, then they appear in the Scottish Championship and can’t cope with the physicality or not getting any time on the ball.

Remember Islam Feruz? Touted as the next big thing, posted missing when on loan at Hibs.

Hope that's true, good news if so.

Still bewildering he has signed nothing defensively but hopefully we can at least muster some shots this week.

Pace and movement up top will help the defence as long as JJ ditches the backs to the wall approach.

Correct. The defence have been under pressure and Tidser and Miller frustrated because of so few real options in front of them. That changes completely when we field players who can hold the ball and build attacks.

I get really annoyed when professional players just boot the ball up the park with no intent other than to get rid of it because more often than not it just comes back with interest. However recently at Cappielow I've had some (not a lot) of sympathy because there have been so few options and we have seen five or six passes exchanged across the back and then a hopeful hoof forward.

Hopefully all that changes now and we see some positive football and positive results.

I live in hope!

Heid-the-baw is in the Tele saying he wants to sign players do we can "counter-attack". Inspiring stuff.

Rangers,Bournemouth & now Kilmarnock all think heid-the-baw might be good for some of their highly fancied young players. You should contact Stephen Gerrard,Eddie Howe & and Steve Clark & share your diatribe of JJ on this forum or you could maybe take some time and reflect that the guy might just know what he is doing & that he is well respected in Football to warrant other clubs loaning this quality of young players. If results don’t come then fair enough JJ should be judged accordingly but not to give the guy a chance even with one transfer window has simply been pathetic.
