BishopBrennan
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfG8Cl_pfXE Let's hound these scudbooks. Scully Tumilty Buchanan Kilday McKeown McAlister Millar Tidser MacLean Iredale McHugh Obviously McHugh starting depends on the level of fitness of Johnstone. I'd rather finish the game with Denny on the park than start it if he doesn't have 90 minutes in him yet. You address me by my proper title, you little bollocks! rex manning
Agree with your team. I was impressed with McHugh on Saturday and he has done enough to keep his place in the starting 11. Less impressed with either of our centre halfs but we dont appear to have a lot of options there. I want a pretentious signature too.

Less impressed with either of our centre halfs but we dont appear to have a lot of options there. If Denny is not fit, McHugh will play. His goal last week was outstanding but the rest of his hold-up and link-up play was not good enough if we have aspirations to compete at the top of the table this season. As for the centre-backs they have improved with each match. Compared to Tam O-Ware's half-hearted effort's last season, I would take Kilday and Buchanan every time. rex manning
A fit Denny will rightly take McHughs place, but McHugh's all round play on Saturday was vastly improved. I'm less concerned than i was about rushing Denny back into the team. Cant agree at all about your Tam comment. He's shown himself to be a much better defender than either of our current centre backs. It's obviously early days but the signs haven't been very promising. I want a pretentious signature too. EanieMeany
Gregor Buchanan picked up a league winner's medal and won the play-offs last season. Absolutely nothing in O'Ware's mediocre career has "shown him to be a better defender". AWMSC

SpoonTon
Gregor Buchanan picked up a league winner's medal and won the play-offs last season. Absolutely nothing in O'Ware's mediocre career has "shown him to be a better defender". He played a part in a St Mirren defence which conceded 4 against us (he was only on for the last 2) and 3 against Dunfermline and Raith, and was deemed surplus to requirements by January. He then played only 6 full games for Livi (along with a number of shorter appearances). He only started 14 league games in total last season, and only finished 11 of those. He was a bit part player for both teams. I'm not saying that this makes him a bad player, but saying he picked up a league winner's medal and won the play-offs (after seeing about 15 minutes of play-off game time) doesn't mean he is a good player. Plenty of mediocre players have played similar roles in league/play-off wining teams. I think he has had a shaky start to the season. He's a decent enough defender at this level, but I don't think he has ever proven himself to be anything more than that.

Think his time on the pitch was cut short due to lack of training due to careing for his sister ?
vikingTON
He's shown himself to be a much better defender than either of our current centre backs. He really hasn't - which is why when he eventually flounced in a huff he could only manage a sideways move to a team that are going to be utter dogshit in this campaign. Wake willing he'll get to compare notes with Bobby Barr about their 'bigger challenges' away from The Famous in the seaside leagues next season. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are
rex manning
Oh hes clearly a wanker, still much prefer a fit O'ware to either of our starting centre halfs though. Lamie and Tam in this squad would have been excellent. I want a pretentious signature too.

Nah, it doesn't necessarily mean he's a good player, but it does suggest that pining for a no-mark over a guy who's actually achieved something is pretty daft. HamCam
Do you think the latest debacle will affect the travelling support tomorrow? I will still be pitching up, as I need to rant, and football is one of the few domains where ranting in an inane manner is still tacitly allowed.
