As good as Gunning is, his position is actually the position we have the most strength and depth in so he wouldn't even need to be replaced and the level of the team wouldn't lower too much with Gunning gone.

If Gunning goes elsewhere then spending the money we've offered him has to be spent  on a striker as the number one priority that will have the most impact on the quality of the team rising.

Bang on just what vT confirmed a while ago :)

His moving on was a stick on but it was great to watch while it lasted

Good luck to him in Grimmmsby

I thought Ed said he'd seen Grimsby at Huish Park (Yeovil). Now he's on about going to Grimsby

Endemol is a Dutch company and he's on their BoD, presumably they sent him a gold-plated car or something via Immingham docks, and he was just there to pick it up. While waiting he conducted an impromptu census and also learned all there is to know about the local football club. What a guy.

Rumoured he was offered 500 and then 550 both rejected, was looking for around 800-900 a week. He'll get that down there no bother

If he was after £900 a week, I'm surprised he wasn't offered that. Our Finance Director said this the other day on P&B:

The finance director sees two home games with St Mirren replaced by two home games against Livingston.  That's a financial difference of around £70-80k - put another way, two decent players.

That equates to £900 a week.
