GiGi
Pishflaps. Who we thinking, Dunfermline? Dundee? As long as it's not the fuddies. Peter Weatherson is the greatest player since Ritchie, and should be assigned 'chairman for life'

GiGi
Celtic it is then Didn't think any Irish teams would be a big draw for first division players. Caltonfan
disappointed to see Jenks go, if he is going to play at a higher level then good luck to him but if it is another first division club then that is disappointing
BluebirdTon
Ah well. Goodbye. Is that 8 players gone now? Shambles. Raith have released a similar amount and are also likely to lose other more important players in the weeks to come, our situation might not be as bad as some of our counterparts. However, the potential signing of Di Giacomo certainly doesn't say, come and buy a season ticket. I don't think we can expect much better though, Morton will never be anything more than a mid-table First Division side. Stevie Aitken's Love Child
Reflecting on this decision now. If Fred doesn't sign a new deal then our midfield, probably the strongest area of the team, will be decimated, leaving us with Tidser, O'Brien and Monti, if he signs a new deal. Moore's job this summer just got so much tougher. Who could realistically replace him? Nick Phinn at Dunfermline? Rocco Quinn at Queens? I genuinely have no idea. HamCam
That is a major blow losing our PoY even if he probably only had one more year in him. If Fred follows him out the door we are almost back to square one in midfield. Very disappointing news.
BluebirdTon
Or part time with QoS? 'A better offer' would not constitute signing for a club that can't even afford to keep their Floodlights on for 90 minutes. We're sh*t but not that sh*t! EBu
Or part time with QoS? It said in the Telegraph article that he had received a better offer from another club so I doubt part time is an option. Quis custodiet ipsos custodes

EanieMeany
If we don't put out a bit of money now, or land a bargain, we can kiss goodbye to any promotion tilt next year. There's absolutely nothing threatening in our midfield without Jenkins in the middle of it, we've seen that quite conclusively every time he plays elsewhere.
