I think this is a bit different from prior years - pretty sure it was the top 8 in pot 1, next 8 in pot 2 and the rest were all mixed together with 3 allocated to each group.

In this competition I just like to get new away grounds ticked off, so 4 that I haven't got would be ideal to guarantee two new ones.

If prior fixture arrangements stand then we will be playing Pot 1 away, so Aberdeen please (missed when we played then about a decade ago so still need to tick that one off), Montrose or Cove in Pot 3 (been to Montrose, but not for a Ton game), Edinburgh City or Spartans in Pot 4 and Elgin City/Bonnyrigg Rose/East Kilbride/Buckie Thistle in Pot 5.

Group F

St. Johnstone

Morton

Alloa

East Fife

Brechin

Decent draw that. All winnable games

Group B looking tough - Arabs, Ayr, Falkirk, stenny, buckie

As is group H - County, raith, accies

There's a storm on the horizon

And for that I can't see the sun

For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement

For the ice cream van to come

Arsehole behaviour from the presenter to read us out as in Aberdeen's group when Pittodrie is the trip we all want. An exceptionally meh draw, but on the plus side at least East Fife can now be attended on the train rather than needing a bus from Kirkcaldy, while St Johnstone are about as easy as it could have been from pot 1.

Before going on to call us just Greenock when Alloa were drawn. Cow.

Then she called us Greenock later on.

Probably as good as any group we could’ve got. Very confident of progressing.

Only the best three runners-up advance. It could come down to goal difference. You can imagine Raith, Partick, QP, Airdrie, Dunfermline and ourselves all have an eye on a 9 point minimum. We've got a very advantageous draw but we're not the only ones.

Friendly with Alloa will be cancelled now i'd expect.

Replace with Eriskay (a).

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Last year's draw and state of the squad was better IMO. Not saying that needs to happen right now, but if we're a few players short then Alloa at home and East Fife away are plausible dropped points.
