At some point Imrie will get a move and it would be churlish to think it is not deserved. Yes he has not got everything right since he arrived at the Club but he has over-achieved in every season when you consider the budget he has to work with. If he goes to one of our competitors in the Championship it will be a bitter pill to swallow but to me this seems the most likely move. Until then just get us into the play-offs.

Throw in it is also his first job in management he has done really well. His 7 manager of the month awards are evidence of that.

Seen on a scottish football post on Reddit that Queens Park are registering lesser hampden as their home ground next season having mentioned this at a recent AGM. Cost of renting Hampden seems to be putting them off.

Here's the post in full

Those average attendances being a work of fiction from the Inverness school of record keeping btw.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

I think it's now obvious that their 'business model', where they were going to flog 100k hampden tickets to the ugly sisters over the course of a season to keep them in the Premiership, was flushed along with Dempster and Coyle. And rightfully so.

900 capacity is entirely adequate for a club like Queen’s Park.

Wanyama is quite a signing for Dunfermline.  I thought he was older than 33 - at that age he should still be very good at this level.  Although from what I can see he hasn’t played much football in the past year so it could take him some time to get up to speed and there aren’t many games left

Dunfermline hitting the headlines again, saw this on P&B

DUNFERMLINE ATHLETIC captain Kyle Benedictus has appeared in court in connection with an alleged serious assault.

Benedictus, 33, and co-accused Sam Fisher, 23, appeared in the dock at a private hearing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday.

The pair - who are both signed with Scottish Championship side Dunfermline Athletic - faced an allegation of assault to severe injury and danger to life.

They made no plea and were released on bail and the case against them was committed for further examination.

No date has been set down as yet for a future court appearance.

Watching the Open Goal Episode at Livingston. Big Robbie Muirhead spoke for a short time and he said that after 5 years he felt he needed a change and he wasn't wanted at the club. I wonder who he was referring to.

There's a storm on the horizon

And for that I can't see the sun

For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement

For the ice cream van to come

Surely he can’t be referring to the fans. We do have some nuggets in our fanbase who did give him a hard time & used him as a scapegoat & he did give it back to the fans on a few occasions but wouldn’t say he left on bad terms with the fans unless I’m missing something.

My first thought was the fans. Dougie wanted to keep him so unless it was the board or Dale?

The voice of Robbie Muirhead's maw there, being sock puppeted through her weirdo, anti-vax son, at the indignity of them not being fêted as God's gift to this once proud football club.

There's a reason why the likes of Mark Pickering are welcomed back as club, while the likes of Muirhead will assuredly vanish without trace. Good luck carving out any such legacy among the three Livingston fans who care about your performance now.

Muirhead never acknowledged the fans at all after he took the huff in his first season because he was rightly called out for being lazy.

Obviously had and still has bags of talent and Dougie definitely brought the best out in him. Found it interesting to hear him say on Open Goal he was too heavy at Morton and had to really get in shape under Martindale.

Maybe he is referring to the money on offer. "If they wanted me that much they'd have offered more," that kind of thing.

Either way a pretty classless thing to say given that without Dougie and Morton I doubt he'd have recovered his career the way he did. He was going months without breaking sweat, much less scoring goals.

Agree with the above. It’s in stark contrast to a couple of interviews I’ve heard with George Oakley who’s said that he loved his time at Morton, and he credits Dougie as the manager who got his career back on track. It’s often said that the people you meet on the way up the ladder are also the ones you meet on your way back down again. Robbie would do well to remember that.

Muirhead always had issues with the fans, even when things were going well. Some of his best performances were clearly motivated by a desire to silence those criticising him.

His problem is that he did, and seemingly still does, see that as the majority view among the Morton fans when it obviously wasn’t. The outcome unfortunately is that he comes across incredibly bitter towards a club and fanbase that endured some very lengthy disgraceful spells from him before providing him with a manager who literally saved his career. Yet somehow he views himself as hard done by. Strange lad.

That was the bit I took notice of: so on one hand he's complaining about how he was treated, but at the same time saying he couldn't be arsed getting in shape until he moved on to another club?

I never really saw his weight as an issue, but he's the one who brought it up.

After seeing the interview I must admit it took a lot of balls for him to do that considering his stammer never realised it was that bad.

It was always his attitude which was the issue and really he was the one with the problem not us, he even got sent off on his last game and Dougie quite rightly called him out on it.

Strange to be so bitter but some people just don't think their shite stinks.

They also agreed a strange sponsorship with a crypto casino company who are not legally allowed to operate in the UK
