2024/25 Squad and Transfers
Hands of Cowan replied to BishopBrennan's topic in General Morton Chatter
Wouldn't be surprised if he went to Dundee United next season after he sworded them this season. They have previous on us by signing Grimmy last year. Prefer it if he didn't go anywhere though. -
Match Preview/Thread - Arbroath vs Morton (20th April)

Hopefully we can get Strapp and Oakley signed up again. I have the fear that if we don't, they'll appear at Cappielow next season wearing Falkirk tops. -

First and foremost, get the win today and secure our spot for next season. Secondly I hope that any out of contact players that feature in our last games actually put in a performance to at least showcase themselves to potential new clubs and scouts. It would be nice to see what some of them can actually do before we send them off with our best wishes -

Can only assume that Shug still isn't 100% fit and why he was subbed. Garrity and Bearne made a slight difference when they came on. Having Baird, Broadfoot and O'Connor on, I thought we'd use French and Waters as full backs but that clearly didn't happen. Hope other results go in our favour tomorrow. -
The badges look really good. Well done to all involved

Good result today, and another clean sheet. Should have had a penalty too. Referee again keeping up the inconsistent standards we shouldn't be too surprised to see and Longridge confirms he is indeed an absolute bellend. -
A win today takes us to 5th (4th depending on Dunfermline result) and a game in hand over them too, so we're still in a good position.

The Scottish Gas Scottish Cup 2023-24
Hands of Cowan replied to Toby's topic in General Morton Chatter
Aside from the goal, we were superb everywhere. Held the formation well and tried to create chances when we could. Power, Mullen and Strapp were awesome but everyone was exceptional tonight. Gave a good account for being the only Championship team in the Cup and we made a couple of bob out of it at the same time. All winners tonight. Well done Morton. -

I am joking and here's hoping his fitness levels have improved and that he plays an absolute blinder tonight. -

I know we can't risk Gorgeous George coming back too soon and risk the rest of his season, but if he had one leg, one eye and fractured skull...... I'd still play him ahead of Jai at the moment !!! -

Like the guy in shed wanting Dougie to be sacked after losing our 16 game streak -

Raith's penalty claim btw How many angles did they need to show that it was clearly played off the chest. Never saw our keeper troubled at all in those highlights. -

The King of Cappielow retires

I echo everything everyone has said about the Great Man. He also had a pretty impressive scouting career which I hope he could still help spot and recommend players to the Famous. All the best in your retirement Andy. -

Took my son to the match tonight. 1st time we've went together for years so it was good to go through the old turnstiles one more time. Made a point of using them tonight for old times sake -
For the first few sentences I thought he had Polio. Good interview and glad he's extended his stay with us.

Agreed. Tying down gorgeous George would be another for me.

Contemplating getting to the turnstiles around 10am to avoid the queues. Watching the Ton is almost compared to buying a new Apple product these days (and I'm an Android guy !!!) -

I'm sure the old turnstiles are still in place behind the wall. They only ripped out what was needed to fit the new system. -

Their keeper definitely saved them being 3-0 down at halftime. Thought we were by far the better team and their fans started singing when they realized they got something out of that game they didn't deserve. SFA seem to have just handed out whistles at Xmas to absolute wackos or pantomime rejects. Napier now added to a long list of wallopers who should never be allowed in Sinclair St ever again. Napier - fud Bannigan - lucky fud Graham - can only aspire to be a fud -
