Scott
Apparently wanted to play someone who triggered new contract. Told no That wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest.
irnbru
That wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest. I don't think it's a bad thing given their position would be up for review and another manager might not want whoever it is.
steveoath
Wit a season. Falkirk down would be the cherry on topAs long as Crawford doesn't go for McRatbastard. MORTON - NEWCASTLE

Scott
No it isn't. If its triggering an extension for a player on the last game of the season with nothing to play for and their future is up for debate then the board should have been involved. They already landed us with Dykes. End of the day, if a board start dictating to the management team who can and cannot play then the games a bogey. Interesting to see if anyone who usually plays is missing from the starting 11. My guess is it’ll be either Tumilty or Kilday.

Rampage Nu Sport
Agree. Regardless of what we think of JJ that is a bad development.
TONofmemories
Bit of a double edged sword. On one hand, fair play to them for walking if they're being told what to do. On the other, if the player triggering the extension is clearly guff, then good call? This is what happens when you let Hawke deal with contracts and include stupid clauses TIME FOR CHANGE! They are ensuring a contract isn't given to someone a new manager might not want (if they decided to punt JJ, which the should have).
Scott
It makes us far less attractive to any aspiring manager if the board are dictating who can play. Are we not best to play a full strength side and try to get 5th = more prize money and hopefully more into the playing budget? Fuck knows what the line up will be without Millar and McAlister in there. Might even be Telfer’s number of starts causing the issue here.

If they were getting punted then it should’ve been done on Monday after safety was secured.
irnbru
If they were getting punted then it should’ve been done on Monday after safety was secured. Aye that was maybe the plan but if they played a player today they have basically signed someone the next man might not want.
