vikingTON Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 Nothing less than a crushing, away win is acceptable. If not, a hounding of Duffy is highly likely. Just as well then that he's failed to beat this Highland League level rabble in four previous meetings. Doohan Doyle O'Ware Lamie Russell Forbes Murdoch Tidser Thomson Quitongo McHugh There is no need or opportunity for intricate second striker play here: Brechin will concede the ball under little pressure, because they're gubbins. The pitch will probably be a ploughed field as usual. So the task is to dominate their gormless midfield jobbers and play the ball into the penalty box as often as possible, providing chances that McHugh can finish. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

TaunTon Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 1-2 + an Ashvale Haggis supper for those fortunate enough to attend
TRVMP Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 I'm more concerned about losing soft goals than I am our failing to score - a bit like Scotland. Nonetheless we've shown enough character in several games this season to suggest we can see off these pointless inbreds. A one-goal margin of victory to stave off the shame game by a fortnight.
vikingTON Posted October 11, 2017 Author Posted October 11, 2017 1-2 + an Ashvale Haggis supper for those fortunate enough to attend The Ashvale is a shan, overpriced teuchter chain, whose chips - crucially - are almost inedible. It's as if they batter them alongside the main event. Sad! The gourmets/lightweights in attendance should divert their service via Cowdenbeath, to sample a red pudding supper instead. I've never had a bad chip in my 3 visits to Hedgeville. Like Cowdenbeath and all things Fife related, red pudding should be consigned to the nearest landfill site. Fact!
vikingTON Posted October 11, 2017 Author Posted October 11, 2017 ^^^ duped by a tourist trap designed to lure in The Famous' travelling hordes. Despite their obvious, complete ignorance of the fact, Cowdenbeath and its immediate environs has managed to successfully commercialise a slice supper. It should be purchased in bulk, consumed in part, and the rest used as exhibits to hound Greater Greenock's chip shops into bringing about the required, culinary revolution. TaunTon Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 Cowdenbeath - Culinary - Revolution 3 words that have never been uttered in the history of mankind until tonight. Hang your head in shame you Gregg Wallace wannabe.
TheGoon Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 I’ve never had a slice supper but it sounds magic.
Deano1874 Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 We need to introduce the red pudding supper to Greater Greenock, then give it its correct name, the Slice Supper. 26/4/18 A Decade of Wakeism.
TONofmemories Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 As a general point, slice is fucking marvelous. Onion Slice > normal slice. Slice > square sausage. TIME FOR CHANGE!
Mr Toon Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 I expect that Gaston and Oliver will both start.
TRVMP Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Gaston has had enough chances. If we brought someone in to compete, now is the time.
TONofmemories Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Slice in goal, please. TIME FOR CHANGE!
LinwoodTON Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 I'll be astonished if Duffy starts an untested keeper in front of a fit Gaston. <span style='font-size: 14px;'><em class='bbc'>"That LinwoodTon's a c*nt, eh?"</em></span>
irnbru Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Gaston has had enough chances. If we brought someone in to compete, now is the time. Gaston has been pretty good this season apart from a mistake he's held his hands up to in the last game so I think it would be harsh to drop him.
TheGoon Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 I'll be astonished if Duffy starts an untested keeper in front of a fit Gaston. We had Jamie McGowan playing in a playoff a few months ago. Sure, he’d played for the first team before but it was still a rather large gamble. Gaston may have been sick IIRC mind.
dunning1874 Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 It's purely guesswork on my part, but I reckon Duffy intended to have Doohan as first choice. Then Gaston started the season well and the 4-1 game was the last game before the signing was confirmed, so he decided to persist to avoid unsettling the team. Now that Gaston's thrown one in and we've had back to back defeats, I can see him making the change. cornbeef Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 I'll be astonished if Duffy starts an untested keeper in front of a fit Gaston. I agree. He'll more likely go with a more conventional central defender. Show Racism the Red Card
