axeman Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Frank McKeown appointed as First-team coach for Stranraer. I'd love to have you both for dinner
Tonton Zola Moukoko Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Frank McKeown appointed as First-team coach for Stranraer. Did he play a competitive match for us? I recall something along the lines of him being involved in a game and got injured about 5 minutes in but was it a real game?

I recall something along the lines of him being involved in a game and got injured about 5 minutes in but was it a real game? Got injured in a 5-0 win against Elgin IIRC. Without checking, it must’ve been a League Cup tie before it was regionalised and organised into groups for the early rounds.
EanieMeany Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 I thought Rory McKeown was called Frank until about December last year. True and important story. AWMSC
Toby Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 (edited) I thought he was injured in training? Â I would've argued he was definitely injured in that game, but looking back at the match thread it seems I'm wrong. Looks like he made his debut that day as a second half substitute (which I was also convinced of) but didn't come off injured. Â What a horrible, and unfamiliar feeling being wrong is. He got injured at Parklea and had to go to hospital in an ambulance.
Scott Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 (edited) Not really.Yes really. https://twitter.com/falkirkfc/status/1142100314906083328?s=21 Edited June 21, 2019 by Scott
Mr Toon Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 He'll do fine in League One. And long may he stay the there!
SpoonTon Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Doyle will be solid in L1, but that level (playing at a team looking to win the league) might also show up just how bad he is at trying to cross a ball. His final ball used to put is in all sorts of defensive trouble! 1

TRVMP Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Falkirk after Denny Johnstone   Are they but.  He's on trial there, so quite possibly. 1
Jamie_M Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 He's on trial there, so quite possibly. Â Aye, it's been pretty hard to filter out what's real from all the shite ex-Morton, linked to Falkirk rumours. Â Although, as it turns out, pretty much anyone who has previously played for Morton, or under McKinnon, is a target. Â Such a closed minded manager.Â
Guest capitanus Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Most of McKinnon's signings, whether at Morton or Falkirk, make me think that we definitely dodged a bullet with him leaving us.
