Season Tickets

All of that might be true, but what can’t be excused is the piss-poor attempt to keep those new season ticket holders. Nothing was done, no outreach made. Thousands of pounds potentially squandered due to basically a lack of effort.

Warren maybe took a hammer to the hard drive with the names and addresses on it. Maybe. A competent business would have used their database of customers to invite them to repurchase, unless someone took a hammer to the hard drive which would be the only valid excuse.

I'd bet that Warren is a "cloud wanker" and as such it won't just be on one hard drive. It's sheer laziness and incompetence.

Even then its severely flawed and there's not a chance morton are using it to do anything of note.

They're not, doesn't mean they couldn't if they bothered their arse.

Even when it was all manual forms, still wouldn't have been too hard to compile them and reach out.

They never have, because they don't give a fuck.

The price went up by about, what, 32-33%? Please someone correct me if I'm out on that. The actual income won't be significantly different. The early bird price was about to end at this time, so it's likely that sales after this point will be higher than last year because more people will wait because there is no incentive to buy early. I'd guess that season ticket income might be roughly similar to last year by the start of the new season.

Ticket sales were up by 41% by early July last season, so this has pretty much seen a return to previous numbers. And there is now more scope for match day income, with there being fewer season ticket holders.

However we feel about the price rise, it looks like it very much makes financial sense for the club.

Except that the club did not actually face a binary choice between last year’s terrible pricing structure and this year’s just as terrible £300 a pop and corresponding slump in interest. A sensible middle ground between the two would both consolidate the increased ST sales from last season as well as raise extra money.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

How would an incentive be fair to the folk who've already shelled out? Ill be interested to see what this is.

Unless it's a price discount or somethibg for free on top, any incentive is likely to include those already purchasing.

Bring on the 10% discount on hospitality.

Im amazed we have shifted as many as 600.

Curious to hear what incentive will encourage more sales,

Someone posted in P&B saying one season ticket holder will win a car for a year. Likely shite. Whatever did we do with McKinnon's company car?

God only knows mate, it’s certainly been the burning question amongst my pals and I when we’re discussing Morton. Hopefully we find out sooner rather than later as I’m losing sleep over it.
