Ed de Ball
Will this tedious slagging off of former players ever end? It is quite clear that Duffy plays Denny as a hold up player which partly explains why he has not pushed the boat out to sign a holding midfielder. If Denny was not there pressure on the midfield and defence would increase as there is hehaw physical presence with the rest of the forwards to prevent the ball pinging back. Ok he needs to be better in the box particularly in the air but then if we could actually deliver crosses and corners we might see Denny and OWare actually score a few with their head. Agree that Scullion should get a chance but not at the expense of Denny in an away game against better opposition.

It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are
EanieMeany
Dunning, for some reason my laptop doesn't let me use the quote function, but I think your post underlines exactly what im talking about in that we as Morton fans have excuses as to why players who we all said were mince have actually turned out to be much better than we thought after they had left our club, its generally never our the clubs fault or the fans fault, its the players of course. To take 2 examples, I don't think I ever heard anyone say Graham had massive potential, I seem to remember him getting pelters on here for being rotten and his only perceived talent was leading with his elbows. Fred was another one who was pounded by some especially on this board, when IMO he was one of the most naturally gifted actual ball playing footballers we had in recent years, but because he didnt beat 3 men, toast the shed and roast one over the bar, he was seen as negative & no cut out for Scottish fitba. Anyway, stop disagreeing with me, or your getting pelted with salt & sauce the night! That's an incredibly simplistic way of seeing things. Scott
If Duffy has dropped Barr for McMullan I'd be pretty confused. Barr is suspended on Saturday so surely he'd be better off playing in this game where we have little chance of winning, and keeping McMullan fresh for Saturday.
