vikingTON
David 'Hoppy' Hopkin's Bradford are set to be officially MAROONED at the bottom of English League One this evening, as they slump to a 2-0 defeat against fellow gubbins outfit 'Gillingham'. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

vikingTON
‘Hoppy’ and his beloved Yorkshire rabble went down 4-0 in the end to a Gillingham side who were on a rancid run of results themselves. Having taken over when they were outside the relegation zone, ‘Hoppy’ has since taken Bradford to the depths of 24th in the division and four points from safety in a truly disastrous stint in charge. vikingTON
Jim Duffy's flying start at Dumbarton seamlessly progressed this afternoon to one of his routine, insipid defeats in the seaside leagues - falling 1-0 in a relegation six-pointer to plucky, glorified pub outfit Montrose. Sad! Meanwhile down in a shitehole in Yorkshire, David 'Hoppy' Hopkin's truly disastrous tenure at Bradford City just about continued today as they lost 1-0 at home to Portsmouth. Having taken over when the club was outside the relegation zone, 'Hoppy''s Bradford are now seven points from safety and are on a shocking run of seven straight defeats in all competitions. Zhivago will be crying salty, bitter tears into his shite pint of Cafe Peroni this evening. Very sad! vikingTON
Some people were pining for that horrible little club Airdrie on the other thread, so let's check in on how they're actually doing at the moment. From their permaseething meltdown thread on P and B: Unfortunately I swallowed the hype at the start of the season and believed we were signing the best players from the other teams in the league, had planned well in advance and were prepared and ready to challenge from day one. Well what the f### do I know. I’ve said it before about previous Airdrie teams but this mob must take the lazy, heartless, disorganised biscuit. Crichton and Page are bomb scares and haven’t a clue what each other are doing.?Remember at kids football it was drummed into you not to let the ball bounce? These two ######## stand and watch it. Effin hopeless the pair of them. Who would have thought that a centre-back combination of Sean Crighton and Jonathan Page (who I believe they paid real, actual money for in the summer) would turn out to be an absolute disaster. Winless in their last six games. Their latest gormless title challenge completely destroyed before Bonfire Night. Joint bottom of the table and on track for the delights of Kelty next season. What a terrible, wee shame that is for them. SpoonTon
Michael Doyle’s og ooooft Strange, incompetent goalkeeping by Martin again for that one. Where's he going? He's left his goal, what happens if McMullen nicks in and gets the ball? That being said, Doyle obviously isn't looking at what's going on and puts himself under pressure with his touch. He was never great at looking where he was putting the ball.

TRVMP
Doyle is a great guy, exactly who you'd want in a foxhole - but he's shan. I'll always appreciate that he did his best, never hid, and fostered a great team spirit, regardless.

He's only poor when used as a centre back or an attacking outlet on the right. Those are faults of managers, not Doyle. In his preferred position and role, he's more than adequate. You address me by my proper title, you little bollocks!
vikingTON
The Famous should be above fielding mediocre, mid table at best players which is why he was punted and took a step down to a lesser, bumpkin outfit in the summer. I'd rather have kept him as backup, but yes, it was a position that we could have upgraded. But the condescending Kevin Finlayson style 'worked hard, never hid' descriptions are way off and do the guy a disservice. You address me by my proper title, you little bollocks! TRVMP
"Defensive full-backs" are shan by definition because for decades now full-backs have been expected to cross the halfway line.
