LargsTON
Daily Mail (I know) reporting that Championship clubs have agreed to start a 27 game season on October 17th behind closed doors. That sounds utter shite. "CORNBEEF IS A BELLEND"
vikingTON
The Mail's coverage of Scottish football is usually more reliable than the Keith Jackson/Gordon Parks clowns working for the red tops; this entirely adds up with what McKinnon said last week. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are
dunning1874
That sounds utter shite. Obviously, but it's about as good as we can expect. When crowds are allowed back at games is out of the hands of the clubs or football authorities and if clubs have generally agreed that they'll only be able to manage a certain length of time or number of games behind closed doors, it makes sense that they'll try to start the season later in the hope they'll be able to have crowds in sooner after the season starts. Safer to try to limit it to 9 games behind closed doors rather than 18, starting in August was never likely. Starting in October will possibly mean we might even be able to start off with crowds in at reduced capacities as well, although that's probably a stretch. AyrshireTon
That sounds utter shite. Sounds better than waiting for them to reconstruct the leagues to get colt teams in. McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up. Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control... That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie. Jamie_M
Hearts and Rangers proposals binned. SPFL now pushing a permanent 14-10-10-10 and seeking support. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52999362
TRVMP
If, and it's a big if, someone can put forward a case for why this is being proposed now that doesn't rest on "because Hearts don't want to be relegated", I'm all ears. Seems to me that there was no real appetite for a bigger top flight before this. What would the relegation/promotion situation be for 2021-22? SpoonTon
About half the Premiership clubs already rejected the idea of a permanent move to a 14 team to flight. Why have we circled back to this?
HamCam
I see no sense in the proposal as it simply rewards failure. It should be a straightforward no but there does seem to be pressure being applied from the powers that be to avoid further infighting

Does it say that though? I read it that he’s heard back from 41 out of the 42 clubs, and of those he’s heard back from there is “sufficient support†for the proposal; not that all 41 have indicated approval. Fair point, being stupid. 'Sufficient support to pass' not 41 out of 42 indicate yes. The point remains, I hope we are still firmly rooted in the NO camp.
