Hej
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8e3Xz1zVsg Skip about a minute or so in there. You'd be apoplectic if it happened to you, but it's pretty funny all the same. I've always wondered if a sub warming up on the sideline would have the baws to try something like this in a World Cup final when the opposition are on last minute break. Similar thing happened in the Brazilian lower league some years back
Hej
Have you ever seen an manager's outfit that screamed "NONCE" more than this?
EanieMeany
Have you ever seen an manager's outfit that screamed "NONCE" more than this? Craig Levein's daft beard. Aside from managing St Mirren, I quite like Jack Ross tbh. Although these rumours can get overblown, story was he was the brains behind Murray at Dumbarton, done well at Alloa and a phenomenal job at St Mirren..funnily enough, taking a squad rooted to the bottom of the table to comfortable survival, despite the fact that "he didn't have his own players" and then a really impressive title win. We could have had someone like Ross if we weren't fannying about pretending Jim Duffy was the answer to our prayers, Edited December 16, 2018 by EanieMeany 1 AWMSC

Was just about to post the same thing. Seems a similar personality to Johanssen too.

True enough, but by all accounts their performances were significantly better and they were still starting to pick up points before then. Certainly getting new, better players will always help, but only if you're doing something right in the first place. AWMSC

My memory is a bit different - that he was under a wee bit of pressure from fans because of some honking results - losing to Dumbarton, 0-3 v QOTS - and it was as late as January when he waded into the stand to confront supporters. Things were probably turning slowly turning behind the scenes but on the park it was February that the run to safety came with a few false starts. None of this is to say that Johansson will be as effective at turning - or have the same scope to turn - the squad around. That’s the great unknown. A truly great Scottish footballing moment, although it's not quite Pedro in a Luxembourg hedge. AWMSC
TRVMP
So Celtic are actually going to **** it, aren't they? Rangers and Killie ahead of them in the table. The 'Bhoys' have two games in hand over the latter and one over the former, but this isn't the season where you just call that a win-in-waiting. Rangers go into the second half of the season without the distraction of Europe, whereas Celtic have at least one two-legged tie coming up, possibly in Russia or Ukraine. Think they'll still stroll if they get a half-decent striker in January. Edouard is a bit of a haddy and Griffiths out for the foreseeable. Rangers look absolutely garbage. TheGoon
Celtic will win the league easily, can’t see them getting past Valencia so that should only be two extra games. Might win it a bit later than normal.

This season's SPL looks a bit more interesting than ever, with Rangers and Kilmarnock currently joint top, only one point ahead of both Celtic and Aberdeen; and only four points separating first and fifth placed Hearts. I think that Celtic will win it yet again, but it is more than a foregone conclusion that Scottish Football's detractors have often mentioned over the years. *insert signature here*
TRVMP
Way earlier in the thread we were talking about how Rangers could only escape 'Espanyolification' if they did everything right and Celtic did everything wrong. Celtic are doing a lot wrong this season, but Rangers are dropping too many easy points. Hearts' early challenge has crumbled already, Kilmarnock are - barring a shock of Leicester proportions - not going the distance, and Aberdeen lack consistency. But if anyone can keep it within six points of Celtic heading into the run-in, anything can happen. It is nice to have genuine competition for a change, of course. You can say that looking at their overall results, but their inconsistency was all in a slow start to the season; they've now won 7 of their last 9. They'll still need to add depth to the defence and a real centre forward in January - I'm not buying that Cosgrove is actually coming good on the basis of swording St. Mirren and Dundee defences who are laughably out of their depth - but there's no reason to believe they'll slip back to their early season form. I'd say they're favourites for second again when you consider Rangers' away form and Kilmarnock's head to head record with Aberdeen, but you'd still expect Celtic to pull away in the extremely likely event that Aberdeen continue shitting the bed when they play them. Though if they end up failing to strengthen through Rodgers making another couple of Compper style signings which do nothing to improve on their existing centre back or centre forward options - with the possibility of also losing Boyata - the upturn you just expect to come as a matter of course when someone has kept the pace with them might not happen. capitanus
The Harry Dunn's only managed a 0-0 draw against Hibernian this evening, whereas Celtic beat Motherwell 3-0 at home, so it is now Celtic top of the table. Still interesting. *insert signature here*

For all the league has been interesting thus far, it'll be a one horse race come April/May when Celtic have bought in January. You address me by my proper title, you little bollocks!
