The State Of Cappielow.

You read that in the TILLY?

It looks like it's part of Mark Farrell's storage shed. Not even just a hatch but a full walk in office type thing.

Not exactly what you would call a booth.

It's not really a big deal though is it? They've put in planning permission for something and when and if it goes ahead they'll have a better solution for making sure nothing goes amiss.

If there was signings we weren't told about I'd question things but it's a place to buy tickets!

Are you saying there's a thief in the club?

Alright, everything has now been confirmed for 10am on Saturday morning for those volunteers that have offered to help out with painting etc at Cappielow. The club have arranged for an experienced painter to come in and give us some pointers and general instructions, just to keep us in the right direction.

So, see you guys at Cappielow on Saturday morning.

Aye Well done SALC. Only downside is you'll be mercilessly slagged for it in hindsight for years to come like my prestigious and world renowned 'Fred Day'

Good people will do good things, bad people will do bad things, but only with religion do good people do bad things!

Received a short email from the club, passed on from the painter that will be with us tomorrow. If anyone could bring any of the following items along, it would help out, but it's not essential.

- if any can fit small steps in their cars great
- carrier bags for brushes and rollers
- rags/kitchen roll for cleaning up at end of day
- any old dust sheets/bed sheets
- gloves & wear old clothing

As said above, it's no big deal if you can't, just been asked to pass on the message.

See all the volunteers tomorrow.

It's a big deal if there's going to be a booth this coming season, and nobody knows a thing about it. Didi you see aTilly article?

Well 12 turned up with special mention to the four young lads who remained throughout the day and to SALC who organised things with Morton.

Sad to say Cappielow is badly run-down but remarkable what can be achieved by so few even if the work is largely just covering/painting over the cracks.

If you can spare some time head down to Cappielow tomorrow and/or next weekend. The more that turn up the more that can be achieved.

Great effort by guys turning up to help out today.  Routine maintenance should be part of running the club though - it's embarrassing that fans are having to volunteer to do this.

Was the stadium director there today? Assume he'd have been golfing.. would have needed some brass neck to be there!

And an even bigger brass neck not to be there.

What does it matter if she was or not?

She could have picked up a paintbrush and mucked in, shown a "we're all in this together" front. Or she could have gone round everyone with tea and biscuits periodically, or nipped down to chippy or MacDonalds and given the volunteers a few quids worth of food each, as a gesture of thanks for their efforts. Little gestures can go a long way. But she knows best I'm sure.

Loving the underlying sexism of this post.
