The only decent thing about having a season card this season is that I can throw it on The pitch during the inevitable shame game.

Good people will do good things, bad people will do bad things, but only with religion do good people do bad things!

Hard to support Morton atm. Enthusiasm being crushed by the week

I've been to a solitary away game all season and am beginning to get out the habit altogether. Another couple of seasons like this and I'll just drift away.

This game may be the catalyst for change in a big way in a similar way that Spartans was for Jim Duffy. Without that game he would have probably persevered with shite like Barrowman and instead of winning League One that season we would have been in amongst the also-rans like Ayr and Stranraer.

Granted he had is day and we can't turn back the clock, but for all his faults and flaws we need to recognise and acknowledge that we haven't moved forward since we parted ways with Jim Duffy.

I really hope that Jonatan Johannsen can turn it around, and prove increasingly more of us wrong, but it's looking grim at the moment.

Would we take Houston til end of the season?

Would have to be an upgrade to this nonsense.

What has Houston done to suggest that he merits the job till the end of the season?

He may be a proven experienced SPFL Premier and Championship manager with Dundee United and Falkirk, and twice a Scottish Cup finalist, but he doesn't seem to have contributed anything to Morton since he came on board. If anything, JJ has been left high & dry by this character.

Next week could be a major moment in deciding whether we end up in a battle for relegation or not. If we lose then all the indications are that there is every chance we could be fighting for our Championship lives.

The team look out of ideas, lack composure and the football is dreadful to watch at times. Today underlined everything that isn't right about the whole club at the moment. I had no idea at times what we were trying to achieve as did the 4 people around me,

If JJ goes -  and I don't think he will - then Houston should also leave with him. The only time I saw Houston barking was when he wasn't facing the game and with JJ clapping like a seal it just seemed that the two of them don't work well at all. Also it appeared that it was Houston that advised JJ to remove Tidser from the game. From what I understand these two - MT and PH - have a very frosty relationship at best.

If I was the Chairman I would be tempted to pull the trigger and end the reign of JJ and PH immediately.

High and dry? HOW?

High and dry? HOW?

Not really sure what people expect him to do, tbh. In his first interview, he mentioned that as an assistant you're job is to do the manager's bidding: you can have your say, you can disagree but once the gaffer decides on something you need to front it up. That's not exactly a big trade secret, but ultimately his hands are tied: he can't start picking the team and he can't do the manager's job.

The whole reason for Peter Houston being there was to be the experienced manager behind him who would give a rookie manager the benefit from his knowledge and experience, and mentor him to a certain extent. In a similar way to Walter Smith was to Graeme Souness; or how Gary McAllister currently is to Steve Gerrard.

There doesn't seem to be much of that happening, and JJ seems very exposed and isolated when the results aren't going well.

Maybe he is doing his job and JJ not listening?

Think it’s harsh to say high and dry.

Away games are great. I’m not going to give them up just because we’ve got yet another absolute clown in charge. Home games by contrast are brutal at the best of times and there’s no way I’m giving IronMan £15 next week to watch that drivel. Season ticket holders have little option so should focus on a hounding; the dropping off of the PATG support will put pressure on the board as well.

He must go.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

I reckon getting knocked out today means I’ll probably not even go to an away game this season, unless things turn around drastically.

The fan base is gone. It wont return like it once was even with a ressurgene or title push

Was saying this today, we are no longer a big club or sleeping giant.

We are a wee team who are like Raith, in championship for 4-5 years, relegated, back up and repeat.

In truth, we are more likely to head the way of Airdrie and be lost to League One and part time.

It’s shite being a Morton Fan.
