Sammario
Sufjan Stevens - Carrie & Lowell. I think it's his best album. Haven't been on the forum on years, good to see this thread still going. I agree, this is his best When you walk through a storm Hold your head up high And don't be afraid of the dark
irnbru
Lush were fantastic. A little bit later, but this always made me smile.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSgYHzACvMI That reminds me of the compilation albums from when it was out. Great wee song. TRVMP
The Faces - Stay with me This is a fantastic song, doesn't sound dated in the least (except the lyrics) but after Rod's display today I'm half tempted to take it off my Spotify.

I loved the Faces back in the day and still enjoy the memories. Unfortunately one of them turned into a total prick and has remained so.

Denniston
Undoubtedly, spoilt for choice with Sufjan. Illinoise and the off-cuts album The Avalanche are superb. Jacksonville and Springfield, or Bobby Got a Gladfly Caught in His Hair remain my favourite songs (although a special mention for Romulus for Michigan). I had the pleasure of seeing him play Jacksonville at Oran Mor in 2005. Missed him last year in Edinburgh - hope he comes back soon. I just think that Carrie & Lowell is a really tight album. Every song is beautiful. Listening to Sitting Still by R.E.M. at the moment. And btw, Stevie Marriott - what a voice. A truly great soul singer. I wanted Afterglow (Of Your Love) as the first waltz at my wedding. Needless to say....😕 Edited January 23, 2017 by Denniston

Pedrodelawasp
What did you think of it? It was decent. Sounds weird now that everything is tuned down lower to suit Ozzy's ageing voice, but they played well.
