xj2006 Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Promising start to the qualifying campaign, 1-0 up to Malta just now, and we have the 'Scottish Gareth Bale' in the guy who seemed to appear from nowhere Oliver Burke and no sign of Scott Brown edit: spoke to soon. 1-1 Oh dear...
TRVMP Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Burke hasn't been great (he'll come good, I'm fairly positive) but Hanley is especially bad. He needs to be playing every week imo, he's not like Hutton who can drop into a side and look alright.
Alibi Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Anyone know where there is a working stream? "Any nation given the opportunity to regain its national sovereignty and which then rejects it is so far beneath contempt that it is hard to put words to it."
LinwoodTON Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Anyone know where there is a working stream? http://wiz1.net/channel36 <span style='font-size: 14px;'><em class='bbc'>"That LinwoodTon's a c*nt, eh?"</em></span>
Alibi Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Thanks. Kodi failed me... "Any nation given the opportunity to regain its national sovereignty and which then rejects it is so far beneath contempt that it is hard to put words to it."
TRVMP Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 We're going to struggle in subsequent games, I reckon, looking lightweight in Central midfield and generally easily bullied, which is unusual for a Scotland team. Nonetheless we at least broke them down.
TRVMP Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Bannan improved a lot in the second half. Good performance overall, center back is a problem, but can't ask for anything more against a stuffy team like Malta.
Pedrodelawasp Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 That was alright last night, but still doesn't give me much confidence heading towards the tougher sides. Given the players currently at our disposal we may need to plump for attacking at all times as the back line is suspect.
dunning1874 Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Abject performance last night. Strachan's time is up. Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake Oh Lord, Brian Wake
EanieMeany Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 His time was up when he played Craig Forsyth in Dublin. Ritchie, Martin and Forrest are absolutely dreadful. I actually kinda sympathise with Martin a bit, he does his best but he's just so woefully bad; playing him twice in a row is enough on its own for a manager to lose his job. AWMSC
EanieMeany Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Also, Griffiths is the most over-rated player going. Decent for Celtic, but has done nothing in a Scotland strip to suggest he has the ability required to cut it at that level. AWMSC
TRVMP Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 We should be putting the feelers out for a new manager before the March games. Strachan has dropped too many vital points. You need to be taking 12 from seeds 5 and 6.
TaunTon Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 I was hopeful about Strachan and the style of football he wanted to play but I must confess there have been too many rank performances against very ordinary opposition and he doesn't seem to have an answer. Last night was dreadful to watch and even although we don't have much quality we should at least be able to orgnise ourselves, maintain possession and put the opposition under some real pressure at home. Not much heart, skill or ideas on the park or in the dugout and no signs that the embarrassment is about to stop.
TRVMP Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 I think we're one good center back away from the best team in 15 years (admittedly this isn't saying much.) Walter Smith may be a terrible person but give him yesterday's squad and he'd easily take us to 2nd place.
HamCam Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 At just about every level aside from the women we are going backwards into oblivion. Difficult to see any positives or where we go from here.
TRVMP Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Strachan won't go, time for the SFA to act. They won't, though.
Guest capitanus Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 I must be one of the very few who isnt too bothered about 'making it' to the the next two world cups. Fuck the corrupt bastards who are FIFA and the corrupt scumbag countries who have been chosen to host them.
