Thank fuck were leaving the EU if they're squandering money on this kind of pish.

When I was at uni in the early 2000s, the Erasmus scheme already existed (and I think it had been going for a long time), and did a lot of the one-year exchange stuff. In one of my third year seminars (an EU-related one, fittingly) there were as many exchange students as four-year ones. I guess Erasmus+ is a way of doing this in a non-uni setting.

It’s a good scheme - covers exchanges in all sorts of uni/work/training settings. Will be a huge miss - especially to university sector - if we aren’t able to negotiate a way back into or replace it.

Yeah - running since late 80s. Erasmus started as university exchanges and Erasmus+ basically consolidated that and other non-uni (training, sport, work etc) schemes under one broad heading.

Where I work, the languages department has used it to fund an annual placement for a foreign student over here. It’ll be missed when this all funding stops.

McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up.
Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control...

That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie.

You don't actually need to be an EU member state to participate in either scheme: Norway for example is a fully signed up participant in both. It will depend on how gammon-flavoured a post-Brexit government turns out to be.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

If we aren't getting the next Luis Figo in exchange then it's a fucking dung idea.

I'm not surprised that you and a few others think it's a good idea, and maybe it is for those with some intelligence eg. If someone has got a lifetimes work in open heart surgery ahead of him, then send him to learn how to buy croissants in a foreign language but in all fairness to the young Morton players, they are going to have a lifetime of footballing underachievement ahead of them so expecting EU governments to pay for them playing hoofball in the Spanish suburbs is taking the piss.
