Ton in Shawlands
Just bought a relatively new football book full of pictures of scottish grounds from way back, lifted over the turnstiles, by Steve Finan, some great bits but on page 30 I was surprised to read that the wee dublin end was covered in 1978, I must have been away that weekend. Hasn't this guy actually visited the places he's writing about?

TRVMP
Back in the days when John S. Thomson owned the club, he said that he would cover the WDE. Back in the Wilson days they used to say they'd build a stand over the Sinclair Street end, like a Poundland Vicente Calderon.
Pedrodelawasp
The idea of building over Sinclair Street is at least more credible a plan than the suggestion on here not so long ago to do the same over the railway line behind the main stand
EanieMeany
Seems to be mandatory for Morton owners to have some madcap, unfulfilled scheme for renovating Cappielow. Hope the Easdales suggest heaters in the Cowshed roof. AWMSC
Cappiecat 1.2
I've got my madcap scheme ready to go, as soon as I scoop the Euromillions jackpot. Above the new cowshed, a bank of adjustable mirrors will be mounted to reflect sunlight onto the the part of the pitch in the shadow of the stand. No more frozen pitch. Could happen... Let's throw a curveball out of that particular blue-sky box: a series of magnifying glasses so we can burn visiting players like the bugs they are. vikingTON
The idea that there’d be enough sunlight anywhere to focus on a target is utterly ridiculous. A covered walkway should be built from the arse end of The Norseman - behind the door where ‘Stewart’ slithers off to at around 5.30 every second Saturday - that runs straight into the Cowshed just before the pie stall. Use one of the old turnstiles instead of the shan white elephants at the Sinclair Street entrance to check the tickets. That’s the only direct pub to ground to pub connection at a credible level of football created for barely a few grand in outlay. Make it happen. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are
