  1. i noticed that a gave a shout out to Andy Millen for ripping into the team at half-time last week. Andy must be the 'bad guy".
  2. A mystery to me is how the highly-touted Grimshaw was released by Motherwell, and then took so long to find another team.
  3. I would imagine that GMFC will withdraw there offer to Hamilton. Afterall he has had weeks to accept the offer. He obviously has been holding out, hoping for something better, which of course he is entitled to do.
  4. Spot on, irnbru. I e-mailed Mark last Wednesday to ask about shipping to Canada, and I'm still waiting on a reply.
  5. I'll sell my shares in GMFC, with no strings attached, if anyone's interested. There's probably around 1,000,000 shares out there, held by minority shareholders.
  6. I'm thinking that the "international season ticket" was poorly worded, as someone had mentioned earlier. Plus, in their write-up the club showed a link to the regular season ticket purchase. I'm with you, a Ton TV season ticket, for overseas viewers, should cost less than a regular season ticket. If it's not, then I'll be picking my individual matches to watch.
  7. GMFC could put all this to bed by simply putting out a statement saying whether or not Hamilton has approached the club asking for permission to talk to Dougie, unless of course they pull a Falkirk/McKinnon stunt. That might help some of those who are considering buying a season ticket, to make up their mind.
  8. Instead of just dumping it, they could easily have surveyed the overseas fans, to see how many would be prepared to make a commitment to the service. I, for one, would have been interested.
  9. I see that the Annual Dinner is to include an online auction. A great idea that will allow the out-of-towners to participate
  10. They were blue stripes, I stand corrected.
  11. There's a great picture of McGraw doing a mid-air scissor-kick, while wearing the candy stripe shirt. But, IIRC the stripes were black, not blue.
  12. It should have been GMFC who ran the contest, not the majority shareholder (MCT). Under the previous ownership (Golden Gasket), it would have been like restricting the vote to only shareholders of GC.
  13. What about the GMFC shareholders, who do not subscribe to MCT? Shouldn't they be entitled to a vote? Talking about shareholders, I'm still waiting on my letter of introduction from MCT who said they would be issuing it about three months ago.
  14. Not being a member of MCT, I don't get to vote. Anyway, I won't be buying any of them.
  15. Perhaps it was only sent to those who had previously subscribed to Ton TV. Just a thought.
  16. Re the part in bold; Here we are five weeks later and I'm still waiting on the "full written resolution".
  17. i don't know what the division of roles and responsibilities are between MCT and GMFC, but I suggest that some of these football questions should be answered by GMFC, not MCT.
  18. I also remember the "waiter" story. Now that I think about it, it was most likely a reserve game. I was normally a Cowshed fan, but I watched this particular game from the enclosure. I assume the Cowshed was closed for reserve matches. I thought that Manni was a bit before Sorensen's time. Maybe it was Finbar Flood's kit.
  19. I think that I did see Moro Manni play, but it was surely a reserve game. Wore all black IIRC.
  20. Joe started out as a striker, but became an outstanding midfielder. You should check out the club's write-up, about him, at the time of his death.
  21. I still remember a colleague of mine ranting about how good a midfield of Joe Mason and Jim Townsend would be. It almost came to fruition but, unfortunately, Joe left shortly before Jim arrived and my colleague's wish became only a dream.
  22. With the potential for the club and Cappielow to be split into two separate entities, what is going to happen to the shares that many of us have in GMFC?
  23. My condolences to Joe's family. He is one of my all-time favourite players. He wasn't a big guy, but a great footballer. He had great vision and control of a ball. IIRC he played in the transition era, when formation switched from 2-3-5 ( believe it you youngsters), to 4-2-4. He was an incredible midfielder, one of the best around. Again, iirc, he came to Morton from Kilmarnock, where Willie Waddell was the manager, at the time. Waddell later became manager of Glasgow Rangers and at the end of Joe's playing career, he took him to Ibrox as a youth coach. RIP Joe. Thanks for the memories.
  24. JJ must be avoiding him, as we haven't seen any interviews from JJ since the Dunfermline post-match comments. Not on the official site anyway.
