I'm not sure how it could prove to be an actual loss-leader but the marketing is definitely crucial. We could be offering the best deal in the world - and this is a very good deal - but unless the club also aggressively market it then it's not going to deliver much. The club website and the Tele aren't enough - we should be finding ways to get this information (quite possibly actual, physical fliers) to every school class in the area.

By the school holidays begin there should be an annoying wean in every household, guilt-tripping their parents into buying a season ticket and assorted tat, with the events to follow of course.

The bit in bold.  The club are missing a trick by not getting that Fat Matt character to shout at people from a passing motor.

Does this mean the end of the Kebab pies? SAD!

Not necessarily.

Pie Sports didn't provide our kiosks like they do at St Mirren and Partick, they just supplied pies to our catering company so no reason the  club can't still order them (or get them from an alternative supplier).

Latest GM update:

https://gmfc.net/general-manager-update/

650 season tickets sold so far - just over half of last year's total.

More friendlies to be announced.

Catering taken back in house - been saying we should do this for a while.

My new hours at work mean I finish at 1545 every Saturday so with one weekend off in 6 I'll be lucky to make a handful of games next season.  No doubt we'll win the league then 😂

No wonder we're dwarfed budget wise season on season, when the fife teams are selling over 3.5k season tickets already.

TIME FOR CHANGE!

Commercial Manager, Brian Main leaves Morton:

from LinkedIn:

It is with regret that my time at Greenock Morton FC has come to an end.
Sometimes with the best intentions things don't seem to work out. Given the time and support it would have certainly allowed me to perform at a level that would have definitely made a difference, but now l move on.
lf l am honest there were challenges but l expected that would have been the case based on a club size of Greenock Morton Football Club.
l still feel there is plenty of room for improvement at Cappielow and given the proper support on and off the park Greenock Morton Football Club can challenge to the next level.
With Dougie & Andy in charge next season the team have 2 guys who performed well in the last 2 seasons. They have proved that with little resources they created a team that won 16 games back to back.
During my short spell l have made lots of new friends and want to thank them for accepting me as part of the team, l enjoyed the experience and fully respect the many roles they all take on a daily basis.
Best, simply. B

Sounds like he's been asked/told to go.

There's a storm on the horizon

And for that I can't see the sun

For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement

For the ice cream van to come

When did he start in the job? Can't easily find that on the site or LinkedIn.

The role was last advertised at the end of November 2023, so I would hazard a guess around the new year.    I think it was around the time a few folk commented on 'Yer Da' posts on the club's Bebo page.

I’d love to get a season ticket but Ah’m stony broke!

You could do another corporate video for Allied Dunbar.  That should pay for it.

What a ruddy good suggestion.

I’m going to make this… Alan’s Comment Of The Day!

Same here & disappointed the club has left fanbase to use Klarna instead of a direct debit option like previous years.

Keep getting knocked back for Klarna I don't know if it is because I have never ordered using klarna before or another reason but it has been frustrating.

I used Klarna once to buy an art book. I couldn't get it to work from the site checkout, so I downloaded the klarna app, applied and got accepted right away. Then went back to booksellers site, chose klarna as payment option and it went through no problem.
