Zutons
Be careful & don't plan anything on the Saturday first up. Remember alba could have a hand on this fixture - Friday nite. I will say again that I have no issue whatsoever with facts being discussed, but accusations and allegations are another thing entirely..

TheGoon
I know this should be on the other forum, however no one's ever on there. Do Thistle have a right to complain here? https://t.co/iR9s95tUtt
vikingTON
No; referring to that shower as 'Thistle' is seaworthy material as well. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

TRVMP
It's embarrassing from them but it's arguably more embarrassing from the SPFL, who seem to have forgotten the old rules. If they wanted to do away with it, fine, but they do need to tell the clubs accordingly.

TRVMP
The rules from a now defunct organisation to do with a now defunct football club? Don't be fatuous. The now-defunct organization had the same chief executive as the new one (Neil Doncaster), and the new Rangers have the same fanbase as the old one. edit: and that chief executive would argue that the club is not defunct in any case

Thistle actually could have stated their case much better if they included Aberdeen, who they also have to play away twice. That seems like a rather difficult set of fixtures that they've been given. I don't think there's a case on the basis of size of traveling support alone.
TRVMP
If there was a case for three home games before then there's a case for asking why it's gone, imo.

It's a big assumption to make that the rule would still be in place. The situation has changed.

garymcc1874
Of course they have a point... How is any league fair when teams aren't playing each other home and away the same number of times. The sooner they do away with the split the better. TTG JIM!!!
