The reactionary elements in the media need to take their share of the blame, just as they must when it comes to the awful state of our prisons. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. cowshed_warrior Posted October 22, 2009 Share Posted October 22, 2009 absolutely amazing... we are told daily that we live in a multicultural society and we must respect everyones views/religions and cultures, yet we live in an OPENLY racist society were OUR GOVERMENT is the most racist thing in it.... why when we are being told to be open to multicultural society is it so bad to have WHITE guys patroling the streets as police officres.. if we are all to be trully tolerant, then why cant the ethnic minority communities accept white police officers patrolling thieir communities ???? yes what a wonderfully racist country we live in, and calling it positive discrimination is just a cop out, we are told we live in a free democratic society, why cant society be tolerant of my religous views and upbringing which taught me that being gay is wrong.. it's against the religion I was brought up with, so whay shouldnt I be allowed to be 'homophobic' without being told I am a bad person.. aye really tolerant aint it.... this is a racist country, but the racism and discrimination is being shown towards white guys... every single black or asian person applying to join the metropolitan police last year were GUARENTEED an interview.. regardless of their educational standard... we are watching a police force in declining standards because skin colour is now more important than QUALIFICATIONS OR SUITABILITY.... and they wonder why we are angry. There are some questions that are too important, some truths too powerful, some messages too liberating, that they can never be heard for fear they might actually provide you with the freedom you desire and that 'they' then lose the dependence you have on them and for which they are rewarded. They lose the hold they have over you which keeps you spellbound and feeds their ego, their hunger for power and their raison d'etre. - Think for Yourself, Ask Your own questions, Do Your own research! ...... Indeed!!! Griffin was a joke, Peter Griffin would have been better than him. That said, the rest of the panel was a bit disappointing, no-one had the balls, or perhaps ability, to really go for the jugular and rip Griffin to shreds even though he was on the ropes the whole thing. George Galloway said in his Daily Record column that there was some sort of campaign to get him on the show, and whilst I may not always agree with him, he would have ran amok there. Even a non-politician, someone like Jon McClure of Reverend & the Makers would have been a more interesting proposition as someone who is probably as well known for his pro-active, vociferous opposition to fascism and racism these days as he is for his music. Certainly he'd have done better than that Museum woman who, to continue the Family Guy theme, was for all the world like a real-life Cleveland.
