Toby
Think I'm right in saying that Villa have got a repeat of the same stage last year against Rapid Vienna. Wouldn't expect lightening to strike twice though. Celtic have a tricky tie that could go either way whilst Motherwell and Dundee United will probably slip to narrow defeats. Because of the seeding no tie really stands out at this early stage with the possible exception of PAOK Salonika v Fenerbahce- apparently the Geeks and Turks don't get on . BluebirdTon
AEK Athens thought they'd beaten a UEFA deadline to find a new venue for their match tomorrow versus Dundee United The Nea Smyrni Stadium, home of Panionios was confirmed as the new venue. However, fans of Panionios GSS have broken into their own stadium, dug up the park and set the center circle on fire! tommydoc
Could be worse as well, the Utrech player, Mertens, was only booked for slightly 'head-butting' Scott Brown, then two minutes later same player missed a sitter. The ball is round, the game lasts 90 minutes, everything else is opinions

EanieMeany
Everywhere I've looked is reporting a booking, but someone's trying to tell me Brown got a guy sent off for doing a "McGregor"...? Rangers fan, so I'm presuming he's talking pish. AWMSC
tommydoc
The boy wasn't sent off Eanie, the two players squared up to each other, Mertens leaned forward and their faces touched, Brown - didn't make a meal of it, he just held his cheek after the boy pulled away. EanieMeany
He's still insisting that someone was sent, but after about ten minutes of radio commentary, a run-through of the teams and a search of a few websites, nowhere else at all have any mention of a red. Can't be arsed arguing with him, seeing as the paranoia's kicked right in already. AWMSC
